I found watching him prancing about waving it like a trophy was a bit sickening.
He just looked like he was showing off!
I know someone who has carried the torch, she was nominated for her work with special needs children and has been really modest about the whole thing!

Very good for your friend that she has been all modest about it but he is well within his rights to be proud. Some people are naturally shy, retiring modest types others are like Will I Am. Diversity innit.

I've no problem with people showing off their olympic torches and being proud of them particularly when they have been nominated by their community but I can't understand how he got to be a torchbearer!!

Well i agree it doesnt seem right to me either. My family and i all said when we watched it. Isnt he American? cant they find someone more deserving and british to give the torch to. All this celebrity hype gets on my nerves, its as if the olympic torch is plugging his show.

It goes hand in hand business and charity for these celebs, all to make themselves richer, it reminds me of Smashee and Niceee and their 'charidee' all in a good caulse. When Cheryl Bore came on it was like the 'millionaires I fancy myself bore off club'.

He was tweeting while he carried it - thanking coca cola for the opportunity and couldn't spell the name of the town he was in.

Lots and lots of the torch slots have been reserved for sponsors. Some of them have 'donated' them to people from the community, others not so much . Willdotidotam is sponsored by Coke so I guess that's why he got a shot.

That said, while I don't agree with sponsors buying slots for slebs to increase their cross-brand coverage, I thought it was quite sweet that he was obviously so proud of it on the voice. But then I am an Olympic Torch softie, DS has ASD and is obsessesed by the whole thing, but in a good way
