...To think Coleen Rooney is an idiot for giving her TWO year old son a can of diet pepsi to drink

poor Kai Rooney has been pictured sipping a can of diet coke...

Does anyone actually think this is ok?! What was Coleen thinking? Silly girl.

OP posts:
LynetteScavo · 26/05/2012 21:06

Or maybe they were given a massive amount of coke when he was their "face", and Collen is just using up what is left in the garage.

NettoSuperstar · 26/05/2012 21:09

Yes getorf, spicy Irn Bru, DD loves the stuff.
That's what happens when you have a Scottish childGrin
I think it's vile.

get0rfm0iland · 26/05/2012 21:22

I think you have to be Scottish or have Scottish blood to drink that stuff.

My brother (who has a different dad, a Scot) loves the stuff, and spends a load of money on it in expat shops in California.

at the idea of spicy, metallic taste Grin

NettoSuperstar · 26/05/2012 21:26

I'm English, hence why I hate the stuff.
DD was born here, and has lived here her whole life.

Olympia2012 · 26/05/2012 21:29

And where has op gone I wonder?!

scottishmummy · 26/05/2012 21:42

op? diet coke break or huff no one agrees

missorinoco · 26/05/2012 21:47

This could be one for the MN jury - diet coke vs fruit shoots. Which one would you be shot at dawn for?

Can't really get excited about it either. Agree with the poster who said now if it were a line of coke......(full fat or diet).

LynetteScavo · 26/05/2012 21:56

Diet Coke. It's all about educating the taste buds. Fruit shoots taste vile.

McKayz · 26/05/2012 22:05

I want spicy Iron Bru!! I love iron bru. It's been my pregnancy craving. Dh(who is welsh) reckons baby will come out with a Scottish Accent.

OP my boys have cola floats!! Yes coke and ice cream. Shoot me now!!

get0rfm0iland · 26/05/2012 22:07

Oh coke floats are brilliant. I haven't had one of those for years.

Springforward · 26/05/2012 22:08

Ooh, coke floats... what a good idea! Forgot about them.

sugarice · 26/05/2012 22:13

Yes YABU.Who here gets papped by journo's on their way home from the airport after an overnight flight and sees us giving our kid a drink if he's thirsty and then sees it in the Daily Fail . Who cares, she can afford to fix his teeth if they're rotten Grin

LynetteScavo · 26/05/2012 22:25

Diet Coke won't rot his teeth.

The caffeine may perk him up a bit though. And the saccharine may give him cancer one day.

Coke floats are brilliant!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 26/05/2012 22:27

Coke Float with a Fruit Shoot Sauce.

WenTheEternallySurprised · 26/05/2012 22:27

Fuck me, did I just read someone's post saying that Colleen Rooney is a role model to other mothers? The mind boggles!

lunamoon · 26/05/2012 22:40

I seriously don't care.
There are men and women doing far worse things to children than giving them Diet Coke.
Get things in perspective.

LynetteScavo · 26/05/2012 22:59

Anyway, in answer to the OP, colleen was probably thinking; "He's thirsty, and I've lost his beaker of filtered water I had carefully prepared".

difficultpickle · 26/05/2012 23:06

She is a role model, unfortunately. There will be plenty of teenage and early twenties mums who copy what she does. She should know that and act accordingly.

Lynette - Personally I've never been in a situation where the only drink available is diet coke but I suppose it could happen Hmm

get0rfm0iland · 26/05/2012 23:09

How many teens and early twenties mums do you know to be so sure about that statement?

BupcakesandCunting · 26/05/2012 23:11

Colleen is a prick but I judge her more for continuing a marriage with a man who rates his wife so highly that he ruts with escort girls on a regular basis, than for the fact that she's got some fluid into her son in hot weather.

difficultpickle · 26/05/2012 23:15

getOrf a few, not a lot tbh cos I is very old. Shock

scottishmummy · 26/05/2012 23:19

conspiracy theory rubbish
she can't directly influence behaviour
so all the young crew, their weans supping coke because Colleen does

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 26/05/2012 23:22

I really, really, really, really, don't believe that a horde of young mums are rushing out right now to buy a can of diet coke.

She is a footballers wife and minor celebrity for programmes such as "Coleen's Women". Not a parenting guru.

I could see your point if it was flaming Annabel Karmel.

2shoes · 26/05/2012 23:26

yabu ffs she isn't brain of britain,

scottishmummy · 26/05/2012 23:26

colleen is just a gallus woman
no role model
