To be annoyed that old people park in mother & child spaces?

There are never enough mother & child parking spaces where I shop - be it supermarket or shopping centre - so I've started to notice who is actually parked in those spaces. Well, I've noticed it's mostly old people with no children. The other day I was so annoyed by this that I confronted an old man parked in a mother &. child space at Morrisons having a fag in his car while his wife did the shopping. He got very angry and basically said that he had more right than me to park near the entrance because his wife had arthritis. This is not the first time that I see older people without kids abuse the parking facilities for mothers with young children. In fact it happens all the time and supermarket staff just turn a blind eye!
I have a three month old baby and a large car so really struggle to park in regular size spaces and take the buggy out. But AIBU?

Ooh, OP, do you make blue badges?

That probably trumps my used-to-prosecute-blue-badge-misuse-for-local-authority credentials!

All sing together now...

"I've got a loely bunch of rindercellas. Dooby dooby dooby dooby do."

TapDancingPimp · 15/05/2012 17:29

So basically anyone who disagrees with you is a loser? Nice, well good luck in all your future endeavours, you're in for many a surprise.

Umm, I didn't say you were thick. I said that on this thread you were coming across as being so. It is apparent from your postings that you most certainly do not have anything to do with blue badges (at least I how to fuck that you don't).

If the vast majority of people disagree with you, most likely you need to have a proper look at your own views. You'd show far more intelligence than you have displayed thus far by listening to what people say and take the opinions of others on board.

I do like the idea of a little flame symbol. A biscuit isn't quite right in this case.

PickledFanjoCat · 15/05/2012 17:29

God this is the thread that just keeps on giving.

Salmotrutta · 15/05/2012 17:29

TandB · 15/05/2012 17:31

I lost my virginity once...

OrmIrian · 15/05/2012 17:31

Me too salmo. I lost a £20 note in the bin once. I was pregnant at the time.

I have lost children too. But they came back.

Salmotrutta · 15/05/2012 17:32

I suspect we all did kungfu ...

OrmIrian · 15/05/2012 17:32

..will to live

Salmotrutta · 15/05/2012 17:33

Yeah - god! kids coming back eh?

I once lost Hope.

But I found her in the ice-cream section at Asda.

JayelleBee · 15/05/2012 17:34

No lady should get a parking space because she sat on it instead of sucking it. I think they should change all P&C spaces to OAP ones instead.

Salmotrutta · 15/05/2012 17:34

... mojo

Salmotrutta · 15/05/2012 17:35

Shock at Jayelle - ahem. [blush

Salmotrutta · 15/05/2012 17:36

But I agree with your second point Grin

Dawndonna · 15/05/2012 17:36

My mother is wheelchair dependent and we are sorting out her blue badge, it is a sodding nightmare, she has walking issues in that she has a leg missing so not a "hidden" condition.

I sometimes use a disabled space or even a (shock horror) P&C space to get mum and her wheelchair out of the car and then I go park in a regular space while we shop, I will then pull back in to a large space for mum to get back in the car, if anyone has issue with me using the space, well they can fuck right off to the other side of fuck and then keep on going

TandB · 15/05/2012 17:37

I lost DS1 briefly in the supermarket. But then I didn't run fast enough and he caught me up.

I should have hidden in the P&C spaces - he doesn't know where those are.

2shoes · 15/05/2012 17:37

I would give the op a Biscuit for her last post
but I ate it

ShellyBoobs · 15/05/2012 17:37

...losers like you...

Shock

I have NEVER been so insulted!

Oh no, hang on, I have... Grin
