I mean FAT

It has assumed the status of a swear word or racial slur or something.

There are a few people who have medical reasons for weight, and a few with psychological, then there are an awful lot of Greedies (me included).

Fat isn't good, it's unhealthy. Why do we have to pretend it's fine? Confused

YANBU. I had a thread on here ages agonwishing that my doctor would stop beting around the bush and tell me I was fat. I am now pregnant and despite being weighed at two week intervals no one has yet mentioned that I am on the wrong colour of the BMI chart. It's ridiculous.

Good article in the Daily Torygraph here.

Quite right OP, YANBU

When my dc go to the fridge I scream "FRUIT" at them and ask them if they want to be big fatty lardarses. They don't seem unduly ill-adjusted.

And yes I know fruit has sugar, but it's better than a tub of hydrogenated fat spread on processed wheat.

hydrogenated fat spread on processed wheat.

AllYoursBabooshka · 11/05/2012 15:01

Hullygully · 11/05/2012 15:01

See? That's the trouble, it IS droolsome. But we must acknowledge the truth of its powers to make us blubbery.

OP posts:
Hullygully · 11/05/2012 15:01

Yes, damn that Mika.

AllYoursBabooshka · 11/05/2012 15:04

I'm fat for financial reasons, My blubber saves on heating bills.

Hullygully · 11/05/2012 15:06

That's valid too. The price of leccy is shocking nowadays.

I'm fat I don't like it but I am, and it is my fault and that is the right word for it. When I am thin again (December) I'll still call the remaining fatties "fat".

I was on a bus in Bath a few months ago where two fat women were discussing the disadvantages of being so "wide" could hardly stop laughing!

ItsAPublicForumWhine · 11/05/2012 15:16

Hey higgle, a month of being thin before xmas!

FaceForRadio · 11/05/2012 15:20

I'm fat because I like cake.

bibbitybobbitybunny · 11/05/2012 15:20

Do we have to pretend its fine? I hadn't noticed. We had a lovely thread on here the other day where one contributor was quite adamant that this woman is fat.

FaceForRadio · 11/05/2012 15:21

dodgy link bibbity. just went to google homepage

bibbitybobbitybunny · 11/05/2012 15:22

Hullygully · 11/05/2012 15:22
