False eyelashes on the school run?

HexagonalQueenOfTheSummer · 09/05/2012 00:38

AIBU to think this is excessive? And when worn in conjunction with 4 inch heels, full fake tan, clothes suitable for a nightclub and hairpieces AIBU to think it's laughably over the top for the school run?

Said woman has told me she gets up at 5am every school day to get ready.

Re previous bullying thread. She knew it was her as they used a nickname she had been told about. Chalk n cheese.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 09/05/2012 12:14

I agree with houseinthecorner and mordecai. This thread was started for a bitching session, finger pointing and some 'vipery togetherness' of birds of a feather for the OP.

We all think things at some point, sometime nice, sometimes nasty, but left unspoken they have no power to hurt. I thought the OP was really low. I don't picture the woman referred to but I wonder at the thread starter. People happy in their own skin don't write like that.

MarieFromStMoritz · 09/05/2012 12:16

Oooo! I want a fancy man

Yeah, me too Grin

HexagonalQueenOfTheSummer · 09/05/2012 12:17

Oh lighten up LyingWitch. I find it offensive that you are trying to read things into my post that just weren't there. This is a public forum in case you haven't noticed and I'm at liberty to word a thread title as I wish.

It wasn't as if I said 'stupid fucking bitch wearing false eyelashes on the school run god she looks like a fucking slapper' was it?

It's touching that you are trying to analyse me and say I'm not happy in my own skin but you are way off the mark.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 09/05/2012 12:19

Goodness me, you don't warrant 'analysis', Hexagonal. I just didn't think you were 'like that'. Came as a bit of a shock.

I think that happy people don't need to put others down. Apply it to yourself if you wish or don't - I don't care.

cocolepew · 09/05/2012 12:19

I think the op was implying she was underdressed but overly made up

Anyone who get get's up at 5 am to start putting on make up is a dope.

HeartsJandJ · 09/05/2012 12:20

Bullying eh? Surely it is more bullying-ish to pick on the OP, comment on her personality and looks and motivations when she is here in her actual virtual self to read what it being written?

HexagonalQueenOfTheSummer · 09/05/2012 12:22

That's kind of what I was getting at cocolepew

I am amused too at the posters on here that have stamped down on me for judging but are perfectly happy to judge me, such as LyingWitch's comment about someone happy in their own skin not starting a thread like that.

Hypocritcal.

HeartsJandJ · 09/05/2012 12:22

Oooo! I want a fancy man

Yeah, me too grin

Not me if it involves getting up at 5 in the morning to prepare.

CurrySpice · 09/05/2012 12:22

Hearts, again, only one person said it was bullying

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 09/05/2012 12:23

How would anybody know what time somebody gets up to get ready, Coco? I have a friend with the most fantastic skin and hair that makes me green with envy... two minutes in the morning and she looks like she stepped out of a salon. I can step out of a salon after three hours and within two minutes, look like a scarecrow missing a field. Grin

CurrySpice · 09/05/2012 12:24

Oh yes Hearts, I imagine a fancy man would take me out to posh places, buy me flowers and call me his princess. I could do with a bit of that on this dull Wednesday as long as he's easy on the eye

PavlovtheCat · 09/05/2012 12:25

god I so would. If i could actually function getting up at 5am every day I would certainly make more of an effort. If I had the right clothes I would wear killer heels and fake eyelashes. especially as I know people would judge me so harshly!

YonWhaleFish · 09/05/2012 12:26

I reported this thread because, undoubtedly, when I said what I thought of it I'd be told to "report it if I didn't like it." Just thought I'd get in there first.

Glad it all makes you feel like big grown ups to take the piss out of me too, what I think and how I feel. Because I won't join in crowing and bullying someone I'm all manner of names.

I don't think I'm frothing, pathetic, obtuse, too literal, whiney or childish just to name a few of the insults chucked my way.

HexagonalQueenOfTheSummer · 09/05/2012 12:26

'How would anybody know what time somebody gets up to get ready, Coco?'

If you're referring to how do I know the woman I talked about gets up at 5am, LyingWitch, it's because she told me. It's not rocket science is it?

OP posts:
cocolepew · 09/05/2012 12:26

Um, because she told Hexagonal. It's in the OP.

cocolepew · 09/05/2012 12:27

X-post.

CurrySpice · 09/05/2012 12:28

Stop squabbling and find me a fancy man damn you!

HeartsJandJ · 09/05/2012 12:28

The thing is you'd have to do all this work as an investment and hope that the fancy man would be hanging around the school gates and whisk you away. It could take years before he turned up and by then you'd have spent a fortune on fake tan and mascara.

YonWhaleFish · 09/05/2012 12:28

You might pretend not to be judgey so you fit in on Mumsnet but everyone has opinions on everything!

I didn't do this either.

MarieFromStMoritz · 09/05/2012 12:29

Yeah, me too, PavlovtheCat. I would strut around in my high heels, fluttering my fake eyelashes, thinking "bollocks to the lot of you, you dowdy, nasty bitches." Grin

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 09/05/2012 12:30

Did it sting, Hexagonal? Lighten up, on this most lighthearted thread. I've no idea how happy/unhappy you are in your skin but I think that people who are generally happy with themselves have no need to pull others down.

I thought your OP was spiteful. It's odd how comments can hurt, even when you don't know the person who makes them.

cocolepew · 09/05/2012 12:30

Is she this tan?

sausagesandmarmelade · 09/05/2012 12:30

Oh, ohhh stoooop...my sides are splitting!!

Not!

ScrambledSmegs · 09/05/2012 12:31

Tbh I'm more Shock at getting up at 5am than anything. Nothing could get me out of bed before 7am, not even a zombie attack.

But then, I am a lazy caah Wink
