This is what my horrid, horrid teenage child just said to me.

I?m going to spend the whole night on here so I don?t wring her neck. At her age I was working my parents didn?t buy me anything. I think this has been a massive wakeup call I most certainly will not be doing anything for her until she begs me for forgiveness LOL

My DS told me I had ruined the last 15 years of his life! He is 15!!!

Have been very tempted to hunt out that record that was around years ago (I am old) called "No Charge" in which a mum list all the things she has done for her son during his life!!!

Moln · 07/05/2012 19:05

With a migraine?

£400?

Ok, I back with my Bularussian idea...

bijou3 · 07/05/2012 19:06

WeShouldOpenABar, what a good idea!! and the phone,laptop and TV {evilgrin}

Mine told me that I do nothing all day, so I did exactly that - nothing! She soon back tracked on what she'd said.

Ilovedaintynuts · 07/05/2012 19:07

Teenagers can be evil.
When I badly broke my arm recently I came out of hospital and I asked my DS (15) to help me empty the bin that was overflowing. He just looked me up and down and said " no thanks - I have a LIFE" and walked out of the door.

Nice.

bijou3 · 07/05/2012 19:07

LOL Moln.

Bigbluebus, Im going to have a look for that song.

Ilove Shock

QuicheOfDeath · 07/05/2012 19:12

So I'm the only one who would have given her a clip round the ear and grounded her for a fortnight after removing her laptop/mobile and make up?

I certainly wouldn't be ignoring it/talking to her in a neutral voice. Oh and I'd be taking all those clothes back as well.

Ilove Shock Fookin' hell. I don't want my DC to get any older if that's the way they end up speaking to us. Sad Angry

Moln · 07/05/2012 19:15

QuicheOfDeath, no you aren't the only one. See above, I'm sending her to an orphanage.

trumpton · 07/05/2012 19:15

Mine told me that she didn't ask to be born. I assured her that I was there when she was born and that she was extremely insistent ....I gave her a lot of graphic detail......she didn't then say that she didn't ask to be concieved....I think she was in a state of shock.

Other DD told me to get a life.... I said I had one but it was on hold whilst I raised her.

QuicheOfDeath · 07/05/2012 19:17

I am highly allergic to back chat as my almost 14 year old has found out. I came down on her like a ton of bricks the first time she tried it.

She is wary now and knows exactly when to stop. If she called me 'thick' she would regret it all the way into next week, that's for sure.

I was no angel as a teenager but you just didn't cheek your parents in the way you hear it now. Maybe i'm just an old fucker though?

Moln · 07/05/2012 19:18

trumpton did you then detail the conception, for a teenager that'd probably be worse than birth (when related to a parent(s) that is!

bijou3 · 07/05/2012 19:19

I found the song Bigbluebus, Its beautiful. Thank you for that.

OP posts:
Safire · 07/05/2012 19:20

Bigbluebus, I had that song in my head the whole time I was reading this!

OP, I agree with those who say stop doing it, immediately.

bijou3 · 07/05/2012 19:20

Quicheofdeath, What would you do I have just ignored her so far as I needed to calm down, shes not even said sorry.

OP posts:
TidyDancer · 07/05/2012 19:22

I don't even have a teenager yet and I'm getting twitchy at reading this!

Take those clothes away RIGHT NOW!!

TheSameButDifferent · 07/05/2012 19:22

Don't rub it whatever you do! Neat vodka lightens it. I have the mirror image of your dd too!

CrunchyFrog · 07/05/2012 19:23

LOL, I was just thinking of "No Charge." Country music has all the answers. Grin

sensuallettuce · 07/05/2012 19:23

Jeez bit of a waste of decent Vodka?! Shock

GravyHadALumpyMashBaby · 07/05/2012 19:26

Yes take ALL the clothes back now!! Then remove everything from her room you've ever bought her bar the bed.

TheSameButDifferent · 07/05/2012 19:26

I know, sensual lettuce, but it was a new carpet too which I was so annoyed at being ruined so soon.

Dawndonna · 07/05/2012 19:26

My kids try it and it's back to earning privileges. So, basics, food, school uniform come free, anything else comes with a bit of housework and a pleasant word.
