For reasons too boring to go into, I was looking to see how much we could reasonably expect if we rent our house out.
I came across that gem.

lovely

CocoLePew · 23/04/2012 21:43

I love the random picture of the bush.

stressheaderic · 23/04/2012 21:44

It's not great is it.
But then, nor's this beauty near DH's work BuyMe

fabulousathome · 23/04/2012 21:45

So cheap for a whole house.

ripsishere · 23/04/2012 21:46

Grin Skem is sunny though.
The one I linked to has the dubious distinction of being the area where Kerry Katona was born.

I think that the bit of tarmac might be pushing it as the 'spacious rear garden'.

grograg · 23/04/2012 21:47

Whats wrong with that house stressheaderic??

HerRoyalNotness · 23/04/2012 21:49

It looks tidy and clean. I'm sure with some personal touches it'll be fine inside. Not much to be done about the pebble dash exterior

HerRoyalNotness · 23/04/2012 21:50

Someone needs to uncover the windows in that house stress. I'm assuming they boarded them up and pebble dashed them.

WorraLiberty · 23/04/2012 21:50

My God £115 per week for a 3 bed house??

You couldn't rent a garage for that price in some London Boroughs

lolajane2009 · 23/04/2012 21:51

its not that bad imo

ditavonteesed · 23/04/2012 21:51

it aint pretty thats for sure.

Firawla · 23/04/2012 21:53

i dont think they are that bad
its good for the money! v cheap

LesAnimaux · 23/04/2012 21:54

HerRoyalNotness, I think houses were built like that (with no windows) to conserve heat. Some houses near me won awards in the 70's for having minuscule windows. Hmm

LeBOF · 23/04/2012 21:54

It's near the library though, looking on the bright side Hmm

scarletforya · 23/04/2012 21:56

The photos are awful. The angle at which they are taken is all from waist level down. The photographer should have hunkered down in the corner of the room and tilted the camera up.

Tamisara · 23/04/2012 21:56

The one you linked to stress has a lovely kitchen (compared to mine, anyway), but the outside is very foreboding!

ripsishere · 23/04/2012 21:58

I've been in the library. It's not good.
I don't want to rent a house, I am purely interested to see how much we would get for ours. Looks like we are on the move again.

OP posts:
stressheaderic · 23/04/2012 21:58

Yes, it's the outside which baffles me - I honestly don't think I could cope with such little natural light. Mnay of the houses near my work too have tiny windows and high-up windows, it would get me down.
The kitchen's great - well better than mine!

Isityouorme · 23/04/2012 21:58

£77k ..... Fuck, you can't buy a crappy bedsit for that where I live .....I'd buy three, knock them through and do them up ... What a bargain!

LesAnimaux · 23/04/2012 21:58

I'm intrigued by the glass wall in the house in warrington. I bet it was tres chic once.

ripsishere · 23/04/2012 22:11

I was too, I imagine when it was full of people it was a useful place to put your pint of party 7 down before you started dealing speed.
It really is a depressing area. DD was offered a place at the school close by. I declined.

The house I lived in when small was like the one with the no windows at the front (it had one tiny bathroom window) but all the windows looked out the back and were, if I can remember, quite big and the view was only the garden instead of looking into the house opposite. Difficult to explain but basically was 2 halls on each floor with the rooms leading off so the only actual room that was on the front wall was the bathroom.

witchface · 23/04/2012 22:14

I mean of course a hall on each floor not 2 Confused
