What if there's a dieter watching?

Shock

Statistics say that a heck of a lot of people are dieting at any one time. They might even be dieting on street corners or in bushes in the park. They might be watching me and gettting their kciks observing my devourment.

They could take a photo and even post it on the www for other dieters to join in the subversion.

I think I'm safer eating them in the privacy of my own home.

I dieting

You need not worry about photos, you do need to worry about muggings.

BillyBollyBandy · 04/04/2012 20:33

I am dieting

Indeed. It's not only dieters you need to worry about. It's those pesky pregnant women. If I see someone eating an icecream or any foodstuff I have to stop myself waddling on over, stealing it and noshing it myself.

NurseJennyLee · 04/04/2012 20:37

I would be very offended if I were dieting and you were eating right in front of me. Don't you know some of us can't look at a Mivvi without putting weight on? So inconsiderate and dietist.
I would rush straight home and post my wrath and upset on AIBU.

foreverondiet · 04/04/2012 20:39

Only if you are very fat, then I would be judgmental Wink

Seriously dieters know other people eat ice-cream.

catgirl1976 · 04/04/2012 20:42

FGS sake OP - It is disgusting to eat ice crean in public

There are dieters everywhere and you are leading them on with your unnatural behaviour.

If photos of your ice cream do get on the web they will be circulated around dieting rings before you can blink and then where will you be hmm, hmm?

I think people who eat ice creams in public are just reckless and stupid. Eat it indoors and don't let anyone, not even your DH / Parents see you.

In fact best to blindfold yourself

:)

UnChartered · 04/04/2012 20:43

have you got a linky to this filth you suspect i'll report it for you Wink

Oakmaiden · 04/04/2012 20:45

I am a bit embarrassed to admit that I was going to post and say that eating an ice cream in public is fine, but I personally can't bear seeing people eat anything else in public. Obvious exception being picnics...

Think maybe I have ishoos though... :D

HoneyBunnyDragon · 04/04/2012 20:46

I eat ice cream in the dead of night with a blanket over my head. I hide it in bags of Frozen Broccoli Wink and only but it when I am alone because my family are ice cream stealing greedy bastards I care that fucking much.

UANBU ...won't somebody think of the children?

Tee2012 · 04/04/2012 20:50

I just ate ice cream in front of my husband in our living room. Should I be ashamed?

ChaosTrulyReigns · 04/04/2012 20:53

But Tee, someone might see you through you windows.

And then go home and drool over the sight?

Dontcha know these days there are dieters on every street corner, waiting for an innocent ice cream eater to wander past unawares.

[hysteria]

Tee2012 · 04/04/2012 20:54

But the curtains were closed! Or were they?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

catgirl1976 · 04/04/2012 20:57

I saw an advert the other day that showed an ice cream melting

I ran around my front room frothing and panicking and then rang the ASA. It was disturbing

UnChartered · 04/04/2012 20:58

i saw a van in the local park, it was done up like this Shock

i wanted to call the police but he drove off after i took his picture

ChaosTrulyReigns · 04/04/2012 20:59

You took a picture?

Excellent work myfriend.

We can't let these dieters get away with their watching.

Who know what it might escalate to?

OP posts:
UnChartered · 04/04/2012 21:01

i think the driver was trying to tempt dieters out of the bushes

sneaky sorts they are

Busybusybust · 04/04/2012 21:02

I thought it was going to be about the guilt of eating on the street - I simply cannot get over that one - each mouthful is accompanied by my mother's disaproving tuts.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 04/04/2012 22:27

Was it a sting, UnChar?

Those watchydieters who lurk just watching need locking up.

Fact.

OP posts:
Valpollicella · 04/04/2012 22:35

I would be more judging of the fact that they are eating icecream out of season

Surely Mr Whippy can only whisk people into a frenzy from June onwards.

Sanuk · 04/04/2012 23:11

Chaos, I believe that Weight Watchers run a special Watchy Dieters Register of people who have been convicted of Watchy Dieting. Not just those that have grabbed ice cream and licked it, but those that have been found to have thousands of images of ice creams on their computers. Some of them are sick - they have pictures of NAKED ICE LOLLY STICKS on there Angry

Perhaps you could go in to your local branch of Weight Watchers, say that you believe your ice cream to be at risk by local Watchy Dieters, and ask to see their Register?

Of course, you need to make sure that you nab a WATCHER and not a WASHER.

But you are an intelligent woman who isn't known for getting her spellings in a muddle - you'll be fine.

Valpollicella · 04/04/2012 23:14

A washer?

They are proper sick people. There's special websites for them as well

ChaosTrulyReigns · 04/04/2012 23:16

Yes.

That's it!

I knew there must be a REGISTER somehwere for these monstrosities.

OP posts:
Valpollicella · 04/04/2012 23:19

Y'know, I'm sure the Daily Mail will be wanting to move away from Samantha face like a Brick by tomorrow.

Flex those typing fingers and write an article for them Chaos about Lurking Dieters...I'll even proof it for you?

I'm pretty sure they've never covered that before...

TiggyD · 05/04/2012 09:11

I like to eat ice creams in front of small children out with their parents. I sometimes say to them, "If Mummy or Daddy love you they'll buy you an ice cream".
