YANBU, YABF (you are being female)! This is perfectly acceptable behaviour. You could even argue that you are thinking of your kids' health and teeth?

I bought a chocolate valentines heart once, for an ex, but ate it before I gave it to him. Then I bought a replacement out of guilt, and ate that too. Guess it wasn't to be!

MrsTerryPratchett · 04/04/2012 18:37

My Mum ate all of my 6 cream eggs one year after taking them away from me because she didn't want me eating all that sugar. I wasn't bothered at all because she gave me the cash.

nkf · 04/04/2012 18:38

I have done wrong too. I bought loads of eggs for an Easter egg hunt and ate most of them.

SparkyMcSparrowLaidMiniEggs · 04/04/2012 18:38

What Yomping said!
Enjoy your eggs!

Bangtastic · 04/04/2012 18:38

I have been scooby snacking DD's mini dairy milk/caramel/creme eggs for her easter egg hunt near enough every time I have made a cuppa for the past 2 days... the bag is getting rather small now, I also will have to replace and eat again.

YADNBU.

thekidsrule · 04/04/2012 18:40

YABU to eat for breakfast etc

YANBU if you replace in time and same value

Ambrosius · 04/04/2012 18:41

I have eaten the boy's easter egg, and the 3 flakes that came with it Blush
Must remember to replace it! onsaturdaynightsoidonteatitagain

WorraLiberty · 04/04/2012 18:42

lolajane2009 · 04/04/2012 18:46

i wish i could....

but lent isnt over yet.

Annpan88 · 04/04/2012 18:48

DS has like 5 Easter eggs. I have to eat some. I'd be a bad mother if I didn't :)

Annpan88 · 04/04/2012 18:49

He's one I might add

Threeprinces · 04/04/2012 18:51

It is your parental duty to eat some and not let your children's teeth be exposed to all that sugar so of course YANBU!!

cantpooinpeace · 04/04/2012 18:53

Great work, sounds like something I would do :)

Bicnod · 04/04/2012 18:59

I keep scoffing DS1's reward for taking nasty tasting anibiotics chocolate buttons Blush

Would definitely have eaten eggs if there were any in the house.

YANBU

morecoffeewantsmorechoccie · 04/04/2012 19:14

YADNBU! A lovely golden bunny bough at 3.30pm today has already been eaten by Dh and I this evening (while getting the dcs some strawberries for their pudding tonight!) Grin

We also ate my nephews mini eggs last week! I replaced it on Saturday, went to work and my Dh ate THE REPLACEMENT while I was working!

MissMogwi · 04/04/2012 19:17

I don't buy any eggs until the last minute for this very reason. Now they are a quid each it could get very, very ugly.

Buy, eat, replace.
Buy, eat, replace.

Where will end? Grin

SmethwickBelle · 04/04/2012 19:18

Sorry I have to be the lone voice here YABU Grin See my husband scoffs the kids chocs all the time and it really bugs me.

I wouldn't nick my kids chocs!

Don't get the bloody chance to!

MrsTerryPratchett · 04/04/2012 19:19

I was planning on eating all DD's Easter eggs since she is 16 months and shouldn't have sugar. That is right isn't it? Doesn't that make me a good mother?

mamasmissionimpossible · 04/04/2012 19:20

I have three kids easter eggs begging me to eat them in my cupboard at the moment. I...cannot...resist...anymore >

SuePurblybiltFromChocolate · 04/04/2012 19:21

I've been eating them since January Grin. They're cheaper and yummier than real food.

AnHonestHCA · 04/04/2012 19:22

i had one of DS's last night, as well as dinner, so if you had one INSTEAD of dinner then you have a slightly higher moral ground than me Grin

(it wasn't his main one that he chose, it was an extra one that someone gave him that he doesn't even know about, and it would be wrong to feed a small child TWO eggs anyway! what about his wee teeth! dear god think of the childrens' teeth!)

lesley33 · 04/04/2012 19:30

pingu - I am shocked YABVVU. What kind of example do you think you are setting to your children? You are teaching them that it is okay to steal off theit loved ones and to ignore any messages about looking after yourself and taking responsibility for your own health!

I won't be surprised if your kids end up very very obese alcholics who shoot up while queueing for help to falsely claim disability benefits - all because they can't be bothered to work!

(only joking btw - hope you enjoyed your chocolate. And I have NEVER eaten chocolate for breakfast or lunch Blush)

SparkyMcSparrowLaidMiniEggs · 04/04/2012 19:32

Shock lesley

Get yourself a big fat chocolate egg and munch it for Easter Sunday breakfast! Live dangerously!

lesley33 · 04/04/2012 19:34

Sparky - will be to busy shooting up or trying to buy my next fix to buy a chocolate egg
Grin

SparkyMcSparrowLaidMiniEggs · 04/04/2012 19:36

Steal it !
