I came across this some weeks ago. There was a petition against them on CaretwoCauses I believe. I know, it's bloody awful. I haven't clicked ont eh linik but was it Thailand or similar? Sorry but these Asian countries are awful for animal abuse.

But unsurprising. there was a lot of publicity a few years ago about the treatment of live tortoises in supermarkets in countries where their meat is considered a delicacy.

just thinking about this again. i wonder does it hit the people who buy these vile things what they have actually done when they lift their bunch of kes one day and the turtle has died. i wonder do they think 'oh i have to get a new one now' or do they actually realise that it was a living creature that they took part in the killing of.

China has some dark areas surrounding their human rights, let alone their animal rights, the poor creatures don't stand a chance.
