Spent all weekend working on my thesis interspersed by liberal visits to MN and feel like I haven't had a weekend, specially as the weather was sooooo gorgeous and I was stuck in booooo also stayed alcohol free all weekend to enable brain cells to be at optimum spielworthy thinking!

But..... Now had a horrible day at work and there is a chilled bottle of Pinot in the fridge, with droplets of condensation on it...... Mmmmmmmmmmm

AIBU to drink a glass before official wine o clock at 7pm???

verytellytubby · 02/04/2012 18:34

Wine o'clock is 6pm

FeakAndWeeble · 02/04/2012 18:34

Cheers! Grin

mrsseed · 02/04/2012 18:34

Wine wine o'clock here is6pm, so you are late

Rhinosaurus · 02/04/2012 18:36

Wow was it 5pm before the clocks went forward?

You must be those serfistikated townie types, here in the country 6pm would be considered proper alkihulic, and I would be a loose and blowsy woman, and an unfit mother!

Being loose, blowsy and unfit feels so much less of a problem when you've opened the vino Wink

CalamityLame · 02/04/2012 18:42

NBU at all!

DH is under strict instructions to have my glass filled by the time I get home. He was away this weekend so I feel the same as you - horrible day, didn't have a relaxing weekend, going to really enjoy my lively glass of burgundy ASAP!

Cheers! Wine

faintpinkline · 02/04/2012 18:44

Have one for me will you, I'd happily guzzle half bottle right now after the rubbish day I've had but I'm pregnant so no whine wine for me

CalamityLame · 02/04/2012 18:44

Blush lovely.

I haven't even had any wine yet!

CroissantNeuf · 02/04/2012 18:44

Have one (at least).

I was going to as there was a small glass left in the bottle next to the cooker but by the time I went to get it DP had added it to the dinner he was preparing.

CharlotteBronteSaurus · 02/04/2012 18:44

The sun goes over the yard arm when you need a tipple.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 02/04/2012 18:49

If that is wrong then I don't wanna be right Grin

Just don't be drinking at 7am or you'll get fired a la gavin Henson!

chocolatchaud · 02/04/2012 18:52

When you go to bed at 9pm, you have to start early to fit a decent amount in Wink

Rhinosaurus · 02/04/2012 18:54

Oh ok you persuaded me. Shame it's a screw top, I miss the pop glug glug glug

Wow 4.30 I feel like a veritable matronly type with my old fashioned ideas of wine o clock!

Im half way through my first, large, glass. Weekend was depressing, work was manic and toddler DD has just decided she wont eat home cooked dinner. And DH has gone out.

AngryFeet · 02/04/2012 18:59

Oh I have had a few today Blush Started at 3ish but very slowly. It is the Easter hols! I turn into an alcoholic in the school hols when I am having a relaxing day.

Mibby · 02/04/2012 19:00

Shes now decided fruit toast, a sausage and a banana are a good combination?!

PreviouslyonLost · 02/04/2012 19:00
