Spent all weekend working on my thesis interspersed by liberal visits to MN and feel like I haven't had a weekend, specially as the weather was sooooo gorgeous and I was stuck in booooo also stayed alcohol free all weekend to enable brain cells to be at optimum spielworthy thinking!

But..... Now had a horrible day at work and there is a chilled bottle of Pinot in the fridge, with droplets of condensation on it...... Mmmmmmmmmmm

AIBU to drink a glass before official wine o clock at 7pm???

It's a naval term I think and something to do with the juxtaposition of the sun and the sails. Bearing in mind that old ships had a lot of sails, I think it's a movable feast depending how much you need a drink.

Is this a serious question? Confused

I'm very restrained, I wait until 9, when the DCs are in bed. Apart from weekends when I have been known to start slurping at lunchtime.

GinIsTheAnswer · 02/04/2012 19:19

giraffe Of course!
However, I'm sure I read recently that chocolate for breakfast was good for the waistline Wink

Concur with marriedinwhite that it's a moveable feast...it's wine 'o clock every minute somewhere in the World.

Enjoy every sip Smile

YANBU - I really, really fancy a glass or three of a delicious Sancerre and I just might. At 41 weeks pregnant and dealing with a 2 year old I'm feeling understandably stressed, no? :o

BellaVita · 02/04/2012 20:06

It was nice everlong Grin

7 more sleeps until Easter Sunday - have feeling the sun might slip over the yard arm within 10 minutes of mass! Sod the chocolate - it's been a long lent.
