Not so sure about the designs (why, oh why use Stella McCartney??) but Jennifer Ennis's body looks AMAZING!

Stranded

You are joking right?

If not.....

The lousy kit design, the uncomfortable poses, the grimmaces, the height differences, the lunchpack .......

OP posts:
squeakytoy · 22/03/2012 16:39

You do realise the height difference are on purpose to show the different type of people who are taking part?

oohermrs · 22/03/2012 16:39

Exactly what DreamingofSummer said especially the lunchbox bit!!!

OutragedAtThePriceOfFreddos · 22/03/2012 16:39

The height differences?

Surely the whole point is that they are all different? I don't see what's wrong with the photo. The kit could probably be nicer, but it's not that bad.

SuperSesame · 22/03/2012 16:39

Men's packages, l'm not sure why my eyes are drawn there, maybe its the guy on the left has a big seam type arrow pointing at it. Ladies are athletes not models and look uncomfortable having so much skin on show. I'm embarrassed for them.

Llanbobl · 22/03/2012 16:40

It should either represent the colours of the union flag as it's team GB or include colours from all the flags - s'pose red and white are technically on the Welsh flag but....... Definitely looks more like Team Scotland.

WorraLiberty · 22/03/2012 16:40

I can't see anything wrong with the photo either Confused

The kits look ok, their athletes and not models, of course their are height differences and errrr it's sportswear so of course you'll see a lunch pack.

LibrarianAli · 22/03/2012 16:42

Oh I quite like it, putting all the athletes on a level and saying, we may have different bodies, but we're all Olympians.

But then I like the kit too and think it has quite enough red on it.

(I am now going back to look at the lunchbox which I didn't notice on first viewing)

bettybat · 22/03/2012 16:45

I don't remember black or turquoise being part of the Union Jack...?

Stella is a knob: "I wanted to start with the union flag, but I'm really aware the reds, whites and blues are in other nations' flags and sometimes you can feel quite confused when you are watching the Games... is that American, is that French?

Umm, perhaps because they have their flags as part of the kit design Hmm

UserNameNotAvailable · 22/03/2012 16:45

I think it's maybe the angle that photo has been taken that looks odd, sort of from underneath rather than straight on at the same level and maybe have them spaced out a bit better. I think the kit could have had some colour to make it stand out.

UserNameNotAvailable · 22/03/2012 16:46

I mean colour on the torso area of the kit

belgo · 22/03/2012 16:49

yes the photo has been taken at a very bad angle.

Quenelle · 22/03/2012 16:49

I think it's brilliant. The kit is fine. Nothing amazing but it'll do.

And the photo brilliantly shows the diversity of athletes, every one of them at the absolute top of their discipline. I'm really looking forward to seeing them all in action.

crypes · 22/03/2012 16:51

Haha, looks like a circus line up, how come the Chealsea football team can look glamourous and not our Olympic squad.

Quenelle · 22/03/2012 16:51

I sort of agree with Stella McCartney's point about other teams having the red, white and blue. I often mix up the US and GB teams at world events because their kits are usually so similar.

ProfCoxWouldGetIt · 22/03/2012 16:52

I like them, except for Shanaze Reade's outfit, think it looks a bit bloke-ish - that said most of my own cycling kit is a bit bloke-ish

Quenelle · 22/03/2012 16:53

crypes because CFC are all men who play the same sport.

Hopandaskip · 22/03/2012 16:53

Ugh awful.

It doesn't look cohesive, the royal blue pants on the gymnast and then indigo or black on others. The red socks and shoes scream 'oops we forgot to put in some red, let's add a huge block of it here' 'how about we stick another block of it on the collar?'

The athletes aren't smiling, it is taken from an odd angle with shadows all over the place. The men's packages show up more than they ought.

FoofFighter · 22/03/2012 16:54

I like it :) and the lunchbox shot too

amistillsexy · 22/03/2012 16:54

I like the kit. I think Stella's right when she says it's often hard to pick out our athletes from the others with flags the same colours. Those red shoes wwll make it easy!

The lunchpack on the other hand is a bit Shock. Maybe it's there to make the other competitors feel inadequate!

Grin
OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 22/03/2012 16:55

I doubt Stella is used to working with so much nylon.

I bet she didnt actually touch any fabric
