Am I? Blush

Really quite gutted. But haven't been following any trails or spoilers so had no idea it was going to happen. Saw last night's episode after missing a few and cried my eyes out and still sad now! Shock

er -- who is (was) Heather Trott???

BukimiNoTaniGensho · 22/03/2012 10:53

YABU. Is this some kind of tv thing? If so, a) there is a section for that and b) you might want to seek some therapy if you are that involved with fiction.

TheRealMrsHannigan · 22/03/2012 11:17

YABU for carign about Heather Trott, who, after awful troll faced Shirley, is Eastender's most aggravating character.

SparkyMcSparrow · 22/03/2012 11:18

Yabu!

Get a grip woman!!!

OddBoots · 22/03/2012 11:18

I just feel bad for poor Harry Hill.

JustHecate · 22/03/2012 11:20

Yes. You are.

Nobody has died.

OldGreyWiffleTest · 22/03/2012 11:21

And will Andrew or Jay be made the fall guy? I hope this storyline is not as predictable as usual.

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 22/03/2012 11:22

you know it's not real . . . right? Grin

EngeldinckHumperbert · 22/03/2012 11:24

Who the buggery bollocks is Heather Trott?

RuleBritannia · 22/03/2012 11:27

Eastenders? Boring. Not going to contribute. Now Coronation Street .................

JustHecate · 22/03/2012 11:28

Someone said Eastenders further upthread. So I'm assuming we're talking soap opera.

Do you know there are people who send CARDS to soap opera characters? Birthday, sympathy, etc, and who berate the actors if they see them in the street for the way their character is behaving Shock that people could get that involved/be so stupid that they don't understand fiction when they see it.

ohdearwhatdoidonow · 22/03/2012 11:28

From me YABU. BUT my 10 yr old DS would say YANBU it was the 1st thing he talked about this morning Grin

Oho · 22/03/2012 11:29

Of course it's normal to be upset. That's why soaps are successful, because viewers get involved with the storylines and attached to the characters.

TheRealMrsHannigan · 22/03/2012 11:32

I had to tell someone on my FB to get a grip this week as they were ranting on about Ben Mitchell and what they'd do if they saw him, some people are far too involved! Grin

AltruisticEnigma · 22/03/2012 11:39

I think everyone else on here is being a bit harsh. Some people are more sensitive than others. It shows a creative, deep side and there is nothing wrong with that AS LONG as it doesn't get in the way of your day to day life, in which case yes there is a problem. But if you shed a tear for her that's understandable. If you watch a soap for years you get attached to characters, just like you do in books. There is nothing wrong with this. It just means you get DEEP into the characterisation. I wouldn't be overly concerned with it. I shed a tear. Not just because I was attached to Heather but because she was a good person and it's always awful whether in real life or in fiction if the good ones get hurt. I also had to cry when Phil grabbed her hand and said sorry it was so out of character it really touched me. I cried and I'm not ashamed of it!

So yeah, YANBU as long as you can tell the difference between real life and soaps and that it wont effect your week/month and it's just a passing sadness/when you watch the soap itself.

UnlikelyAmazonian · 22/03/2012 12:03

You mean Eastenders is not real life???? And Heather is only a fictional charatcer??????

Jeez now I am REALLY upset. Sad

FGS nobody tell her about Santa Claus...

DesperatelySeekingSedatives · 22/03/2012 12:10

I'll admit, I got a bit teary last night watching EE. Blush

It was mostly because I kept thinking about Hev's poor little George alone in the flat with his dead mum Sad There have been children in real life in similar situations that also make me cry.

JustHecate · 22/03/2012 12:14

Grin heehee.

Sorry to break it to you UA - but there's no tooth fairy either.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 22/03/2012 12:14

SANTA CLAUS ISNT REAL?? Shock

NoOnesGoingToEatYourEyes · 22/03/2012 12:19

Harry Hill will be fine, he can just stick a pair of fancy dress wings on his Hev and carry on regardless.

cocolepew · 22/03/2012 12:22

I cried when Shurl cried Blush

Katiepoes · 22/03/2012 12:57

I hated that character. I did however cry as if my world was ending when Nana Moon died a few years back.

My Mum tells me what's happening on Coronation Street as if they were real people, several times I've genuinely thought she mant actual neighbours.

Chopstheduck · 22/03/2012 12:59

harry hill is finishing in any case. I am waiting to see what he has up his sleeve this week tho!

I thought it was all a bit nasty. Apparently the actress found it really hard - she never even wanted to leave!

wannaBe · 22/03/2012 13:10

and the easter bunny isn't real either...

There was a storyline some years back - a dv storyline where little mo was being beaten up by her abusive husband, and the actor who played him apparently received death threats over his treatment of her.

I think some people need to get out more.
