or is DH?? - he will only help around the house if I have sex with him?

Over the past few months DH hasn't pulled his weight regarding housework/childcare.

He has also become increasingly unpleasant towards me.

I have found this a big turn off & don't find him attractive anymore. I used to - he used to be kind & attentive.

He now says he will be nice to me if I have sex with him.

Am I being unreasonable thinking that he views marriage as a form of legalised prostitution?

Do you even have to ask?

Gumby · 20/03/2012 20:27

Jeez
What a pickle you're in

StealthPolarBear · 20/03/2012 20:27

Is this real?

GetTheeToANunnery · 20/03/2012 20:27

Confused why are you even asking?

Debeez · 20/03/2012 20:28

YANBU. As I read the title of this thread "legalised prostitution" was the first thought in my head, wouldn't have dared say it but seeing as you have. Yes, you're right.

HalfPastWine · 20/03/2012 20:28

I think F4J are on here playing games!

CailinDana · 20/03/2012 20:28

YANBU.

KateSpade · 20/03/2012 20:28

Hmm WTAF.

First one to say it

LEAVE THE BASTARD

Stratters · 20/03/2012 20:29

YANBU :(

Stealth, chipping has been posting a while now.

StealthPolarBear · 20/03/2012 20:29

Ok well on that case I'd like to say, you should count yourself lucky to have snares such a fine specimen of a man. Know your place and be grateful

Really? You not thinking of chippingin?

TheMightyLois · 20/03/2012 20:30

Hmm.. bullshit radar is flashing at me.

PleaseChooseAnotherNN · 20/03/2012 20:30

Tell him if he starts being nice to you, you just might remember why you found him attractive before but it only works one way sex is not a payment.

No, no I did do an advanced search. My first thought was the same as yours, but OP seems to be a legit, if not prolific, poster.

Tell him you want a cleaner.

chipping · 20/03/2012 20:41

(am not 'chippingin' - tried to name change but failed - sorry)

We have 4 children. I'm a SAHM. Our youngest was recently hospitalised (he's ok now) due to a virus - DH was at a dinner party...

OP posts:
Whatmeworry · 20/03/2012 20:44

Which stopped first - sex or cleaning?

littleornoclue · 20/03/2012 20:45

Marriage guidance counselling - he needs to change his attitude or your relationship is doomed. Tell him.

sex stopped first - had EMCS with DS. Was knackered & DH upset that I didn't want to have sex. Then the unpleasantness started - waking me up in the early hours (2am) to 'have a chat', not paying the bills, etc etc

Hooker · 20/03/2012 21:00

Having been here, you need to sort this out and nip it in the bud now. You are tired, he is feeling pushed out. He reacts by hurting you, you react by withdrawing affection further, he feels more pushed out and round and round it goes.

And no, I am not blaming you!!!

You both need to sit down and find a way to get back to being a couple, be it 'date night' once a week or however often you can manage it. If he pulled his weight, you would be less tired, feel more like a partnership and his chance of getting his rocks off would be more likely.

His behaviour is totally unacceptable, but then his mates would probably say the same of you for 'withholding sex' unless he does his chores.

I really hope you can resolve this.

Whatmeworry · 20/03/2012 21:05

How long ago was the EMCS?

Agree with Hooker btw.

bjf1 · 20/03/2012 21:11

Bloody Hell, another tosser who feels he's "entitled" to get what he wants.
God save us from these pricks.
As for the chat at 2am....wait till he's asleep, wake him up and see how he likes it.

fluffypillow · 20/03/2012 21:18

A 2am chat? Who does he think he is? Selfish git. You need to have a long chat with him op. You shouldn't put up with his crap.

Sunnywithachanceofshowers · 20/03/2012 22:11

He sounds awful, Chipping. :(
