... a realtionship thread even a sleep thread but not a marriage thread? How can marriage be redefined if MN doesn't even recognise it?

OP posts:
habbibu · 16/03/2012 23:22

People can be married and not love each other.

Gincognito · 16/03/2012 23:23

Are you drunk? Confused

BelleDameSansMerci · 16/03/2012 23:23

Have a read of the Relationships threads - that should give you some idea of how loving some marriages are...

Honestly, I'm tired but I genuinely have no idea what point you're actually trying to make.

I don't really get the point- what would a marriage topic include that the relationships topic doesn't? What is marriage if not a relationship?

AgentZigzag · 16/03/2012 23:24

Haha at you being called SparklyMcSparrow Grin

How underhand of the OP to imply you're NM fodder Grin

ICanTuckMyBoobsInMyPockets · 16/03/2012 23:25

What exactly do you want to talk about that makes it more important because it's about a marriage rather than a relationship?

Wine Zigzag ? Grin

habbibu · 16/03/2012 23:25

What would be discussed in this topic that doesn't have a good home already? Fwiw, I think that fewer topics in general would be better.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 16/03/2012 23:25

Such poetry, Rhinos, brought a tear to my eye, awwww, feel quite overcome actually

jumjum · 16/03/2012 23:26

Sparky I had hoped your first post was true: that you weren't going to post to this thread. But as your have changed your mind, if you are your belief that a marriage topic would end up the same as a relationship topic then let's test it out. From my perspective a "relationship" impllies a transitory encounter whereas a partnerhsip or a marriage implies an intention of committment

I am quite insulted that you are referring to mine and DPs relationship as 'a transitory encounter'.
You know nothing about it, or anyone else's relationship/marriage/civil partnership/legal agreement/pre-nup.
Maybe we should all pretend we are married so that you take our posts more seriously?
Rude and insulting.
I'd tell you to get your head out of your smug married arse, but I'm not going to lower myself.

lesley33 · 16/03/2012 23:32

tbh this board already has far too many topics. Whatever the topic being proposed is, I would be very against new topics being created.
