and I'm not in RL!

the bully thread upset me, as I do hate it when everyone piles in, I really do

and It does happen alot

then i though...HANG ABOUT

I have been rude, I have sworn at people, and I barged into MN royalty threads and called them all "sad cxxts!, maybe not in those words exactly

who I am to comment on others, really?

so, long weekend away I think

I know its only words in a screen, but its left me feeling, well not too good aboujt myself TBH

its soo easy to barge in a post something blunt, maybe too easy

Sorry catgirl (durhh) - I thought you were on the thread where I have reported the post, but you are not. So you probably don't have a clue what I am talkinga bout. Another poster criticised by name another MNer. But the MNer criticised isn't even on the thread and so can't defend herself. That is why I reported it.

catgirl1976 · 16/03/2012 15:44

Ah ok - I see.

TalcAndTurnips · 16/03/2012 15:51

Good afternoon.

This is nice. I do so like conciliation.

In the alternate universe that I sometimes visit, on their Mumsnet there is a topic called Am I Being Pragmatic? - where posters discuss their worries about having been overly generous or sycophantic. They get quite heated up over each other's niceness and sling around some fairly strong compliments at each other. The 'doppelganger' of the biscuit is Thanks

Pagwatch · 16/03/2012 15:54

I could do with a klaxon for amusing or interesting threads with no snarky fuckers or axe grinders. That would be nice.

MardyBra · 16/03/2012 15:57

talcy have you just capitalised? Or have you always been that way?

It's Friday. I'm tired. Confused

TalcAndTurnips · 16/03/2012 16:00

Wha-wha-WHAT? (Sheila Broflovski-style reaction)

I have always been Capital.

Chaos would never speak to me otherwise - it's second only to public indecency Blush

MardyBra · 16/03/2012 16:43

Sheila who?

Sorry. Maybe I just think of you in the lower case.

BIWI · 16/03/2012 17:23

LOL at being thought of in lower case!

I wonder what font that might be?

MardyBra · 16/03/2012 17:42

Talcy is naturally comic sans. Or is that sans comic? Wink

I really try not to be a bitch but have posted some comments that I've regretted, even got deleted. Sometimes when I've had too much of Mn I start getting more arsey as though I want to be forced to flounce in a big grumpy huff. There was poster who I'm ashamed to say I enjoyed seeing her get a bit of a kicking now and then as she was notoriously abrasive but she seems to have disappeared and I strangely miss her and her strange ways, place isn't the same without her.

iCANdothisiCAN · 16/03/2012 20:42

Just popped back on to say biwi no my comments weren't aimed at anyone in particular.

I thought I'd made that clear so genuinely sorry if you felt differently.

As I said it's very rare i remember a poster's name.

What I meant was a lot of the time I will see what I consider to be quite an aggressive post from someone who will then go on to take great offense to any replies they receive.

It echoes RL in that a lot of people come across as aggressive when really they are easily upset and often their knee-jerk reaction to that is to be defensive.

I would add that this is not always the case. There are many people who are very direct and are happy to accept the same in return.

It's when these 2 personality types clash that the problems occur. These 2 types find it extremely difficult to see the other's perspective so you end up with a giant bun fight.

It's life unfortunately and it will never really change. All you can do is recognise what part you play. You can't change other people but you can change your perception of them by trying to see it from their side.

You will probably never agree but you may find you agree to disagree.

BIWI · 16/03/2012 21:42

Phew! Smile

porcamiseria · 16/03/2012 22:17
