YABU!

We love YBF!!

Babies falling over is the best bit!

Haribojoe · 10/03/2012 19:30

YABU we often watch it together as a family at the weekend, my DSs love watching people get hit in the "dangleberries"!

Boston2Step · 10/03/2012 19:31

Oh lighten up! I doubt parents send in video where the outcome has been really bad!

Boston2Step · 10/03/2012 19:31

Yabu!

WhiteTrash · 10/03/2012 19:51

Really? You laugh when a childs been hurt? Do you find it funny in RL too? Serious question!

YABU!

EmptyBotheredPocket · 10/03/2012 20:00

Yabu, we love it!

NakedButNotFamous · 10/03/2012 20:00

I love it. I find it hilarious. You need to lighten up a bit. The children are obviously fine afterwards.

Boston2Step · 10/03/2012 20:01

Don't be so soft!! It likely looks worse than it actually is!!

The5thFishy · 10/03/2012 20:02

I hate it. It's just laughing at other peoples' misfortune.

Ismeyes · 10/03/2012 20:06

YABU, it is my daughter's current ambition to get on YBF. She wants the £250.

blackoutthesun · 10/03/2012 20:10

yanbu, i can't stand it

DebbieD78 · 10/03/2012 20:11

The prize has been £250 since Jeremy Beadle used to host it. Haven't they heard of inflation?

WowOoo · 10/03/2012 20:16

It's one of my guilty pleasures. Some of the ones where children get knocked down or even when adults get hurt, I think it's a bit mean/ a bit too much and I can't laugh.

The5thfishy - i feel v guilty because i do find other people's misfortunes hysterical. I can't help it. I record it and watch it when I need cheering up.

MaureenMLove · 10/03/2012 20:26

It upsets me! I can't stand seeing the ones where a small child hurts themselves. I know it's obviously not a terrible hurt, otherwise they wouldn't show it, but still it upsets me!

What can I say, I'm a wuss! (And I've just outed myself on MN as one too! This is so not the impression I give on here!) Grin

HoldMeCloserTonyDanza · 10/03/2012 20:45

It really upsets me. I hate it. I don't understand why people like watching adults, let alone children or animals, getting hurt. All I can think is, are they ok? I just don't get the joke!

I suspect We ABU, though.

Triggles · 10/03/2012 20:52

What I can't understand is sometimes there are videos where you can SEE where it's leading, and you KNOW the child is going to get hurt... what kind of an odd parent will continue filming and not stop to make sure the child doesn't get hurt? Confused

AgentZigzag · 10/03/2012 20:53

I sometimes think they should put the fucking camera down and sort out their DC who's crying and hurt themselves, but mostly I'm laughing at idiot boarders trying to skate down railings and ruining their chances of having children later in life Grin

Fleurdebleurgh · 10/03/2012 20:55

Schadenfreude.

AgentZigzag · 10/03/2012 20:56

Wasn't there a poster called MrsSchadenfreude?

Not seen her about for a long time though.

DoMeDon · 10/03/2012 21:14

I love it until it's little ones getting hurt - anyone else fair game. I laugh at people falling over - even myself - it is funny.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 10/03/2012 21:17

MrsShadenfreude is lovely! Smile

YBF is bloody funny. It's way better than that other show with the really irritating comedian bloke narrating the whole way through! I justwantto punch him after a few minutes!

MadameChinLegs · 10/03/2012 21:18

I remember seeing one when I was much younger, of a toddler who sneezed and blew out his birthday cake candles, and burst into tears. Probably about 15 years ago now, and the thought of it still makes me laugh.

YABU.

threeleftfeet · 10/03/2012 21:22

But why is people hurting themselves funny? I just don't get it at all!

(Sorry I said this on the other thread too, but here goes!)

My ex-p used to find the ones where people hurt themselves hilarious. But then he turned out to be an abusive fuckwit arsehole of the highest order.
Now I judge anyone who laughs at those bits.

Surely it's no more than laughing at other people's misfortune - isn't it?

threeleftfeet · 10/03/2012 21:24

Basically, if i see someone laughing at bits where people actually hurt themselves, I assume they're basically not a very nice person.

AIBU then?
