Am I being AIBU to think 25 is too old to be wearing Lynx

It's targeted towards teenagers, I've yet to come across one that doesn't smell of hairspray, today my ds (4) sprayed nearly a whole can in the hallway (it stunk for hours)

I just think he's too old now, he's been wearing it since we were teenagers and it's really starting to grate on me. I think the fact he can never throw away an empty can either really bothers me too. So AIBU to just ask to change it for something else?

My bf wears it obviously, not my ds. (make it more clear) :)

De ja vu. I remember this exact thread a few months ago. Word for word in fact. Theres obviously an epidemic of agrieved wives and girlfriends of Lynx fans.

I'm new, been lurking about a month now, I really dislike it. You should hear me moan about call of duty, though I reckon it's been done to death.

Lynx recover shower gel smells amazing though. Out was my pregnancy craving. I went to bed with it once to snort it at will

It does smell like hair spray.. and so does the female lynx special edition that they have brought out

Lynx Africa is my guilty pleasure. Poor DH is begged asked to wear it occassionally for me - but I do make it worth his while!

My 42 year old DH wears Lynx Africa. In moderation.

Yep, Lynx Africa is my guilty pleasure too. I make my DH (32) wear it. I buy it and hide all his others

My DH is 46 and wears it. I like the Twist one, it's really fresh. He also says the anti perspirant (not to be confised with the body spary) is very effective.

YABU, whys it any different than impulse, or iyo are you only allowed to wear that up to the age of 25?

DH wears it occasionally. I quite like the smell, YABU!

My dp reacted so over the top enthusiastically when 4 of my aunties bought him lynx sets for our first Christmas together, that they have bought them for him every Christmas and birthday every year since

yanbu i find lynx horrible too when its sprayed.. i dont mind the smell of it once its worn off, but it just chokes you when it is being sprayed. maybe i should tell my dh he is too old, he is 26! think he would tell me to get lost though as he likes it. i dont mind the shower gel its just the aresol cans

If you think that it all smells like hairspray, then you have a problem with your sense of smell.

The adverts are tongue in cheek, not aimed at teenagers.

I think I need to lock my 16 year old Lynx Africa wearing son up - hadn't realised the effect was real!

OMG just despatched him for a weekend of mixed camping (Explorer Scouts) and he's gone stinking of the stuff with a can of it in his rucksack!

I think 2 is too old to be wearing the spray stuff. I think the stuff is revolting. They call it AXE here. My 11 year old likes it so we made him get the solid one, there is only so much olfactory damage you can do if it isn't in an aerosol.

I thought it was just for teenagers. The smell is hideous. I try to get DS to wear the Soap and Glory for men one instead, but he is 13 so is entitled to smell awful I suppose.

I buy it for my Son, thirteen.

I love the smell of LYNX and my DH wears it and he is far from a teenager. If your basing this on the ads then your being very silly.

I don't think it has anything to do with the ads. It is the strong smell. Adults generally wear something more subtle.
