Its perambulator. God.

LiamsMummyJaz · 06/03/2012 16:13

Jane fair point!

But but are recliners classed as chairs? Hmm

SpottyTeacakes · 06/03/2012 16:13

A buggy is a lightweight pushchair

cocolepew · 06/03/2012 16:13

YABU.

Prams are big, unweildy, un co-operative, horrid things like this

Pushchairs are better. They can lay flat or be upright but are generally smaller and more obedient than prams like this

Buggies are umberella folding type contraptions that normally fall apart after a few uses like this one

Strollers are american. English people who use this word should be slapped with a wet fish.

HTH.

RetiredDJ · 06/03/2012 16:14

cocolepew fair enough! Wink

shesparkles · 06/03/2012 16:15

How in the name of god can the word pram sound chavvy? Prams were around yeeeeeeeeeears before the concept of chavs was dreamt up!

OP posts:
JaneMare · 06/03/2012 16:16

doofuses Hmm

ShatnersBassoon · 06/03/2012 16:16

"But but are recliners classed as chairs?"

Yes, I'm sitting in a recliner chair at this very moment. It's definitely a chair, and still would be a chair if I put it on wheels. Well, it would be a wheelchair.

shesparkles · 06/03/2012 16:18

QuickLookBusy · 06/03/2012 16:18

shesparkles You are right

Thank you for the visual aids.

All you people who think a pram is pushcair/buggy/chavvy, please LOOK at shesparkles links.

Then you will see you are wrong Wink

diddl · 06/03/2012 16:19

I had a pram & a pushchair.

PomBearAtTheGatesOfDawn · 06/03/2012 16:19

I once knew someone who called her daughter's buggy a "tripper" and if I could have killed her I would have she had other faults too

cocolepew · 06/03/2012 16:20

What's wrong with doofuses, stop picking on me and calling me a bad mother.

Will nobody think of the children!?

OP posts:
JaneMare · 06/03/2012 16:20

tripper Grin

that's hilarious new to me

bishboschone · 06/03/2012 16:21

I mean calling a pushchair a pram

cocolepew · 06/03/2012 16:22

pramgate started here

OP posts:
diddl · 06/03/2012 16:22

How could the 2nd or 3rd links that shesparkles has put up be a pram?

Kellamity · 06/03/2012 16:23

Pram
Pushchair
Buggy
Smile

DialsMavis · 06/03/2012 16:23

My pram now has the seat unit on it rather than carry cot; it still tends to be a pram out of habit, but sometimes I call it a push chair (I think). My little umbrella fold is a pushchair, I don't think it is ever a buggy, but then again I never pay too much attention to anything I say, so maybe it is.... Smile

cocolepew · 06/03/2012 16:23

All prams, diddl.
