What does it mean?

Ruggybug · 06/03/2012 11:33

Worral-She is beautiful

OP posts:
SwedishEdith · 06/03/2012 11:33

I'd be saying it Elliebell

MarieFromStMoritz · 06/03/2012 11:33

She is beautiful? Yes, it"s lovely. Wish I had thought of it for my beauty business...

moondog · 06/03/2012 11:33

No.
It makes it sound too dodgy which is persumably not the image you seek to project.
What does anyone's looks have to do with the quality of the massage?

WorraLiberty · 06/03/2012 11:34

Why thank you OP Blush

But what does it mean?

Grin
DodieSmith · 06/03/2012 11:34

Took me a half a minute to work out ow it should be pronounced.

IslaValargeone · 06/03/2012 11:35

I think it would end up being spoken as Elliebell, which doesn't sound too nice.

WorraLiberty · 06/03/2012 11:35

moondog the OP is also qualified in beauty therapy so I'm guessing she'll be linking the two perhaps?

iseenodust · 06/03/2012 11:35

I sort of like it but would be pretentious for round here Grin

Runs the risk of becoming 'hells belles'?

Ruggybug · 06/03/2012 11:36

Thanks Marie! My dh actually came up with it lol

moondog-looks have nothing to do with massage but I hope to do beauty treatments too. Thanks for your reply don't want to sound dodgyBlush

Tbh, I don't like French names for things in the UK. We don't have accent, we can't say it right, so it just sounds silly rather than elegant.

BelleEnd · 06/03/2012 11:38

I think people will found it difficult to pronounce.

moondog · 06/03/2012 11:40

Sorry, with reard to beauty therapy then of course it is appropriate.
Just maybe not so if massage is the main focus or you may be inundated with seedy requests.
Perish the thought!

Shutupanddrive · 06/03/2012 11:41

Grin @ worra
Assuming not many people will know what it means, it's not something I would remember. Doesn't stand out

Birdsgottafly · 06/03/2012 11:44

I don't think that it sounds like a serious massage business.

Tbh, in my city most knocking shops have french names.

SwedishEdith · 06/03/2012 11:45

Most people will know what it means, surely? They just won't say it properly due to laziness.

MamaChoo · 06/03/2012 11:48

Www.elleestbelle.co.uk is a bit hard to read, i think... Looks like Elleest Belle, wehich makes no sense.

MamaChoo · 06/03/2012 11:50

Flossie we have an Italian called Dolce Vita in our village and the number of people who think it is called 'Dollsee Veeta'....

Ruggybug · 06/03/2012 11:50

Thankyou everyone I knew I'd get honestGrin replies on here and I may start thinking more into it..

MrsGypsy · 06/03/2012 11:55

I think it kind of works for the beauty therapy business, but for the massage side it sounds like a really pretty masseuse...... :)

Are your target clients female, or would you be happy to doing massage for men as well (other than say, husbands of female clients)? If the latter, then I think a more impersonal name might be better.

Are you really Swedish, Edith? If so, could you think of some Swedish-y place name/words that could be associated with you, beauty therapy & therapeutic massage (and not dodgy massage from an Abba lookalike with no underwear on)?

BigGirlInASmallWorld · 06/03/2012 12:29

Sorry, seems like a brothel name to me.

Ruggybug · 06/03/2012 12:32

Grinworral...sure you're very beauSmile
