It's pretty, but I think it would be hard work on the phone when you had to keep spelling it out for people, or writing cheques etc.

SwedishEdith · 06/03/2012 13:35

I'm racking my Swedish brain google translate tool and, well, Swedish looks a bit harsh written down doesn't it? 'Stroke' is the same though Grin

GinPalace · 06/03/2012 13:39

Why don't you call it 'She is Beautiful' - then you have your name but no accent spelling issues?

Amateurish · 06/03/2012 14:06

Good name for "erotic" massage

Ruggybug · 06/03/2012 14:26

erotic?noooo..I thought it sounded nice until now(??)

Meant to be doing a website tonight..someones helping me do it and I haven't even got a bleddy name whats wrong with me?>help....

Grinswedishedith!

Gin-might do that..trying to think if it sounds ok

Penelope-yes sounds confusing when I say it out loud

Ps.without wanting to out myself my eldest dc is called ellis and I think I must subconsciously like that it sounds like 'ellis belle' if that makes sense

Trying to help - if you wanted a non-erotic massage name, then you'd have to play up the spa relaxation angle eg., (crappy suggestion) Zen Massage. However you'd then need to add the beauty therapy angle to it. Could you think along the "Personal Spa" route?

They really were crap suggestions, weren't they? So sorry.

Firawla · 06/03/2012 15:10

Personally i dont like it, as you always feel a bit of a prat pronouncing names that are in french. I don't mind the belle part but the whole thing as a sentence - not keen. Sorry.

GinPalace · 06/03/2012 15:13

As an idea - you are in the right place for inspiration!

When I first came on mn I was bowled over by so many of the fab and witty names on here - just have a nosey through the threads and steal one!!

Not sure about CappyHunt or some of the slightly more risque ones but I have definitely seen some that could be nickable!!!

Ruggybug · 06/03/2012 16:16

Mrsgypsy..no not crap at all!..something 'zennish' is more fitting and isnt too 'try hard' which think i sound..going to google lots..thankyou!

Firawla-belle beauty, beau beauty, belle holistics(?)that or zen like names that mrsgypsy mentioned and forget all together about the 'chic' sounding names....

Gin-thanks going to do that I always wonder how some of you come up with these imaginative names..failing that might ask my dc

thankyou everyoneSmile

I wouldn't go with that name tbh. It does sound a bit 'extras are available' iykwim.

grumpypants · 06/03/2012 16:45

Beauty to go? Make Up, Fake Up and Shake Up? Pretty Tantastic? Hammer and Tongs? Really hate foreign names for services over here unless there is a reason. Sorry.

cwtch4967 · 06/03/2012 17:20

I hate it - sorry. Doesn't tell me anything about the business or service provided, difficult to pronounce / spell which can cause problems on the phone or for people googling a website.

EssentialFattyAcid · 06/03/2012 18:07

With a name like this and offering swedish massage i think you will get lots of calls thinking you are a prozzie tbh

UnimaginitiveDadThemedUsername · 06/03/2012 18:27

Sounds like the name of an escort service to me.

Ruggybug · 06/03/2012 18:34

Sadmeant to be making this website this evening(if I'm still awake)

Can I say it fast and still be understandable and not have to repeat it?
Is it memoriable?
Does everyone know what it means?
Will you forever be spelling it over the phone as people don't know how to spell it?
Is it easy to misspell?

If the answer to above questions is "no", its not the best brand name.

All of which have been mentioned already in thread.

KEEP IT SIMPLE. More is less. Don't try and be too clever.

grumpypants · 06/03/2012 20:37

Pml at GrumpyBeauty! Beauty to go is q nice tho. I'd book you!

porcamiseria · 06/03/2012 22:23

HONESTLY, sounds a bit prostituey, also not sure how it links with massage??

porcamiseria · 06/03/2012 22:24

go for a swedish non whorey name? helga? !

FilterCoffee · 06/03/2012 23:34

I don't speak French so I wouldn't know how to pronounce it or what it means. I actually think "She Is Beautiful" sounds much better and less try-hard!
