I'd use it for education and everything.

The letter F...
The number 1
Brum Brum cars...

YANBU. Sky Sports are though. Sad

ComposHat · 28/02/2012 11:38

Formula One is deathly dull, how they manage to make fast cars racing in glamourous locations so tedious is beyond me. It is an achievement in itself.

Save your cash and head to your nearest motorway bridge every second Sunday and watch the cars go by for two hours. You will get much the same experience.

Kayano · 28/02/2012 11:41

Shock Compos! No it's the best thing ever! I love it. I'm do excited.

Sparklingbrook · 28/02/2012 11:41

Thanks for that useful insight Compos. Helpful. Hmm

MrsCog · 28/02/2012 11:49

YANBU! Although, we don't know what the BBC coverage will be like yet - if the highlights shows are comprehensive then you might be able to save the £20 per month!

Still really :( about the Sky move - mainly because we are in the 1% of the country that can't recieve a Sky signal or Virgin Media.... so I really don't have a single option!

SoupDragon · 28/02/2012 11:49

Compos - I agree completely.

SoupDragon · 28/02/2012 11:50

Sparkling, this thread is hardly asking for helpful posts is it?! Hmm

toddlerama · 28/02/2012 11:54

Agree with Compos. DH worked in F1 for a while and I still never went to a race. It just couldn't appeal less.

Sparklingbrook · 28/02/2012 11:55

No, I suppose you are right Soup. Grin It's just that Kayano is a fan and obviously doesn't think it's dull, or she wouldn't be asking.

If the baby had come out with a penis it would have been called Jenson. Blush

I love it so much. DH wouldn't let me call him Sebastian. Just was well we had a girl really lol

well that depends, if by spending the child benefit your child is going without clothes, food, warmth then yes, you should be ashamed of yourself.
If however, by spending the child benefit your child is going without the latest joules kids jumper or some natty shoes from Boden then no, YANBU.

I would like to claim that my CB goes on my DS every month, sometimes it does and sometimes it goes on me, for being a smashing mum and deserving it after hellish behavious by DS. Selfish yes I know.

CremeEggThief · 28/02/2012 12:12

I don't see a problem with it, if you are bringing up your baby as a formula 1 fan :).

I know if BBC ever lose the rights to Wimbledon, I'll have to shell out for Sky (no Virgin Media coverage for tv in our area, although they provide broadband and 'phone Confused) and I hate them as a company.

Kayzr · 28/02/2012 12:13

Kayano, my cousin has just had Ayrton Michael!!Grin He already has a collecting of F1 clothes.

I say get it. As a huge F1 fan myself I had to have the channel. But luckily I have got the sports anyway for football.

pebspop · 28/02/2012 12:23

you don't need sky sports. you just need to be a sky hd customer which is £10 per month on top of the normal package. not sure if you have to pay for the hd box or it might be free

CotherMuckingFunt · 28/02/2012 12:28

This is one of the joys of living in France - it's shown on 'normal' channels over here. suck on that you thieving bastard Sky wankers. Suck. On. That.

trixie123 · 28/02/2012 13:59

yes, pebspop is right - if you have HD then you'll get the F1 for free this year at least.

Whenisitmysleepytime · 28/02/2012 15:09

Ds loved the f1 noise when he was a baby.
So did dd!
They hated the Hoover and washer and hairdyer but F1 worked a treat! :)

Shame it's so dull! Hmm

Lueji · 28/02/2012 15:15

YANBU

It is getting a bit dull, though.
What with not being able to crash other cars out of the race. Angry

ah, the good old days.

Lueji · 28/02/2012 15:18

I'm secretly hoping that DS will want to become an F1 driver.

Just waiting for him to reach minimum kart height.
