Following on from the mooncup thread...to put stickers in the toilets at work?

I am a recent mooncup convert, but talking to my friends it seems most of them have never heard of it...I'm sure more women would try them if only they were aware. Would it BU to get some stickers from them (those ones that advertise them) and put them in the cubicles at work? (I'm a secondary school teacher - would only put them in the staff loos, not the kids!) Or not?

Not

scarletforya · 19/02/2012 14:06

Not! Why are people so evangelical about these things? NO!

southeastastra · 19/02/2012 14:07

er just tell them about them? i'd think you were nuts if you put a poster up in the loos Grin

CardgamesFTW · 19/02/2012 14:08

Me don't like 'em.
But many find mooncups helpful, so why not?

hairytaleofnewyork · 19/02/2012 14:54

Yabvu. One of my staff put leaflets in everyone's pidgin hole at work. I was not beat pleased. Totally inappropriate.

Tell your friends but leave your colleagues alone.

valiumredhead · 19/02/2012 14:57

I didn't know there were stickers! Yes put some up - won't hurt and might help someone.

There was an article in the paper recently and it was brought up on a night out and out of a group of 10 of my friends I was the only one who had ever heard of them let alone used one! So it just shows that people don't know about them...yet! Wink

TidyDancer · 19/02/2012 14:59

FFS.

Don't put them up.

Leave people to their own sanitary choices.

You'll be going door to door next.

valiumredhead · 19/02/2012 15:01

Oh door to door - good idea! Wink

GetOrfMoiiLand · 19/02/2012 15:02

WHY would you even consider doing that?

It is a sanitary product. It is not the elixir of youth.

Let people make their own decision ffs, and give them credit for knowing what a mooncup is, and just deciding that it is not for them.

ilovesprouts · 19/02/2012 15:02

no

GetOrfMoiiLand · 19/02/2012 15:03

I would deface that sticker if it was on the toilet cubicles at work

LAlady · 19/02/2012 15:04

Really? Absolutely not!

ilovesprouts · 19/02/2012 15:04

dont do it

AlwaysWild · 19/02/2012 15:07

Put them up. Sure people should be able to make their own decisions. And considering the endless adverts for other forms of sanitary protection we are all exposed to consistently over decades, your stickers would give a bit of much needed balance

Pandemoniaa · 19/02/2012 15:08

I'm the sort of person who is always delighted to see this sort of sanctimonious sticker posted up.

Because they are so pleasurable to deface in the most childish way possible.

valiumredhead · 19/02/2012 15:09

Good point always

I want to tell EVERYONE I know about them because if they do work for you they are so liberating and comfortable I want to share Grin

TheMonster · 19/02/2012 15:10

Not.

Abcinthia · 19/02/2012 15:13

I've never yet tried anything that was advertised in a toilet cubicle. Maybe I've been missing out all these years...

valiumredhead · 19/02/2012 15:14

Oh I have! Wink

feedmefeedmenow · 19/02/2012 15:16

no

i am 40 odd years old, i dont really need to be told what i should be doing regarding my menstrual cycle. if i wanted advice, i would search it out

WorraLiberty · 19/02/2012 15:16

I think you should be asking the Head Teacher, not MN Grin

EdithWeston · 19/02/2012 15:18

If advertsing is permitted, then do it (in the normal way).

I wouldn't flypost anywhere however, no matter how much I believed in a product.

TalcAndTurnips · 19/02/2012 15:23

"Now ladies - as you can see from the table on my left, there is a size and shape of Mooncup to fit every single one of you..."

McHappyPants2012 · 19/02/2012 15:26

As a cleaner please don't do it as we are the ones removing the sodding things.

redexpat · 19/02/2012 15:54

As long as they don't say "have a happy period" then go for it. Mooncups are only a choice if you know about them.
