Shit shit shit....Picked up wedding dress today and I think I've got it so wrong!

Oh god, I picked up my wedding dress today, it's costs a shed load and I think that I've got so wrong......, to late to change it now, I'm getting marired in 5 weeks, I just looked at it and thought why on earth didn't I go for somthing simplier...please tell me that I'm not the only one who's been in this position??? I like it. There is a lot of detail in the dress but that's the design of the dress.

Keep jewellery/accessories to a bare minimum and let you and your gown shine

I know many people will disagree but I'm so bored of seeing the typical strapless foofy gowns that everyone appears to wear, which in my opinion all look the same and are usually unflattering on many shapes. At least this is memorable :)

I think that is one of the most beautiful wedding dresses I have ever seen.

It is a beautiful dress. Can you go to the gym and do cardiovascular exercise for 45 minutes 6 times a week from now on? (I dont mean to be rude, but if you feel you are too big to carry off such a dress, slimming down wont hurt, it might really help your confidence)

I had a pronovias dress when I got married a few years ago and the quality of the lace is amazing, and the shaping is so flattering that they look stunning whatever age and size.

I'm now tempted to get mine out of the box to sit and stroke admire it.

Don't do massive exercise in next 5 weeks - the alterations will cost a fortune.

Size 14 in a wedding dress is like size 12 in real life.

They are designed to make fatter girls than you look waif like.

I love that dress and I certainly wouldn't worry about your size and age! I love the cut and the tulle skirt will flatter your figure, get yourself some lovely sexy but functional underwear, wear your hair up and I would probably go without a veil but a veil would work with the dress. You are going to look fabulous and as others have said it is only natural to have jitters this close to the wedding.
As for the venue, why shouldn't you have a fabulous dress just because it is a civil ceremony? I got married at a golf club resort (nicer then it sounds when you write it like that but don't know how else to describe it as is not a hotel), service and reception in the same place, very low key small affair with 50 of our closest family and friends, no sit down meal just a late afternoon ceremony and a buffet meal but the one thing I let myself have was the big dress, I still get my dress out from time to time just to look at it and wish I could wear it again, at the start I had wanted to go for a very plain dress with no veil but ended up with a dress with lots of intricate detail and a cathedral length veil. I did have my moments of wobbles with the dress, not that I didn't love the dress but that for the location and size of the wedding it was OTT but I felt every inch the bride and just didn't ever want to take off that dress, as soon as I entered the ceremony room, saw my guests, my bridesmaid dd and my handsome groom all the worries and stresses disappeared. I hope you have a fabulous day, one thing is for sure, you will look amazing and your dh to be will not be able to take his eyes off you!

It is absoluety stunning. There are so many beautiful dresses it can be hard to know which one is right for you. WOW on this one!
