AIBU to think that 'pump dispense' containers for facial products should dispense sufficient product in one press? E.g. Facial oil, foundation etc. I appear to have a 'pump and a bit' sized face Confused

The instructions on one moisturiser I bought said "two pumps" would be required.

HTH

:)

(I read the instructions Shock)

Kayano · 18/02/2012 22:00

I have a 2 pump face... Sometimes more.

Tbf my face is like the moon

flibbertywidget · 18/02/2012 22:00

do you think you may have pumped excessively, and in fact, your face is normal?

or perhaps those blardy cosmetic companies have reduced their packaging?

SarahStratton · 18/02/2012 22:00

YANBU I use at least 2 squirts.

HoneyandHaycorns · 18/02/2012 22:01

Yanbu

Sirzy · 18/02/2012 22:02

The cleanser I use says "1 or 2 pumps" some people just need/want to use more

MuslinSuit · 18/02/2012 22:03

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish has a decent amount, I'm a one-squirt for that.

I'm an annoying 1.5 squirt of Olay Regenerist.

SlipperSatin · 18/02/2012 22:07

YABU. I find that one pump of cleanser is sufficient if I want to wake up looking like a crack 'ho.

Three pumps here, Lady. No shame.

smoggii · 18/02/2012 22:08

Some pumps dispense too much for me and i definitely don't have a small face so it must be dependent upon the pump

SneakyBiscuitEater · 18/02/2012 22:10

It is the 'bit' part of the 'pump and a bit' that winds me up. If I was a 'two pumper' or a 'pump and a half' kind of girl it wouldn't be so bad but the pedant part of me is bothered by the asymmetry of it all.

I use 3 and a bit pumps of Clinique dramatically different moisturiser. Moonface

WorraLiberty · 18/02/2012 22:14

I have a squeeze 'n squirt face

MAYBELATERNOWIMBUSY · 21/02/2012 00:34

and hair shampoo "wash hair , rinse and wash again" eh, like how minging do they think my hair is?

sozzledchops · 21/02/2012 00:46

Maybe we should form a Big Face Society and go on marches.

sozzledchops · 21/02/2012 00:46

and i also have a big head and want hats made bigger.

GhastlyBespoke · 21/02/2012 00:49

Clearly a marketing ploy to make everyone paranoid and dissatisfied with their giant lollipop perfectly proportioned heads.

Underpumping or underselling the pump.

FreddieMercurysBolero · 21/02/2012 00:51

I have a face like a full moon in a fog and generally use three.

Gay40 · 21/02/2012 01:10

DP says she has never had a pump and thought, that is too much.

SilentBoob · 21/02/2012 04:20

No, it irritates me that one Olay pump is TOO MUCH for a face.

Unless I have a ludicrously small face... the horror...

whydontwehaveasharpknife · 21/02/2012 04:40

Thanks your title alone made me laugh out loud!!!!!

HillyWallaby · 21/02/2012 04:48

I always find one pump just a bit too much of almost everything. HTH.

Lots of love, SmallFacedPerson x

Camblewick · 21/02/2012 06:52

See I have the opposite problem being in possession of a worryingly small head. A peanut head if you will.

Icelollycraving · 21/02/2012 06:56

Are you living in The Magic Faraway Tree? :o

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 21/02/2012 07:01

Great thread OP Grin

I use one pump of most things, of my facial oil I find I only need half a pump, which annoys me a lot.
