I want to buy this here

It's not much, c'mon. If every mumsnetter donates a fiver then I can have this shockingly huge mansion roof over my head which I so richly deserve.

Brian, gis yer address, but only if I can come and share the house with you. That's lush that is!

PamPerdbrat · 15/02/2012 19:56

Or this which is more modest. I particularly like the recieving hallway and piano room, which are essential in this day and age.

I love it! All that sky!

As well as the patio as you step out the door/swish open the floor to ceiling windows.... in late spring/summer/early autumn!

Pity I don't have the pocket money Grin

What's the history - i.e which famous person did it belong to

discrete · 15/02/2012 19:57

I don't get it. Do you have to go through the garage to get to the main house? And where's the garden?

Babieseverywhere · 15/02/2012 19:57

Oh, Isn't that one of the Grand Design houses ?

Looks like the one where the home owners who fell out with their neighbours, posh orchestrator company, who objected to the choice of non-London brick on the wall falling them and at the end of the show, it was going to court to see if they were going to rip down and rebuilt half the house !

Am I right ? Can't be too many glass block with an entrance via a coach house in London ?

PamPerdbrat · 15/02/2012 19:57

Oh my God Brian! Think of all those disgruntled elderly folk just waiting for you when you're trying to find the hairdryer!

GrahamTribe · 15/02/2012 19:58

Brian, have you seen the size of the bed in that house? You could fit the entire Walton family in that alone!

BrianCoxHasScaryHair · 15/02/2012 19:59

You have a point [erm] Bloody selfish ghosts!!

Who wanted my address? It's [email protected] Grin

PamPerdbrat · 15/02/2012 20:00

Oooooh I don't know babies that's an interesting question.

I'm 24, which probably makes a difference to how susceptible I am to shit marketing I like the house to look.

OP posts:
BrianCoxHasScaryHair · 15/02/2012 20:00

Maybe that's where they used to put all the OAP's? One big bed, kept them all warm?

FoofFighter · 15/02/2012 20:01

It greatly amuses this American how these houses are always listed as 'detached'. I bloody well hope so for that price!

Those aren't detached houses. Those are fucking mansions!

I like the idea of having a tripple garage, Pam. Got to be better than a plain ol' triple garage, no? Maybe it's a garage where you keep your tripp trapp highchair?

PamPerdbrat · 15/02/2012 20:09

Well tee one wouldnt want to be living next door to a ruffian, would one?

OP posts:
Weasleyismyking · 15/02/2012 20:09

Ahem, actually Rue it holds three cars and a Segway. Wonder if I could go round Waitrose in a Segway. Would be much faster.

It's in one of Putney's prime locations which paradoxically is pretty close to a council estate although it happens to be a conservation area one. It isn't particularly close to good train or tube stations so not brilliant from that point of view. That's expensive even for Putney imo but from the pics it looks as though it might be gated which is pretty important in that bracket round here.

Could offer 6 beds, three baths, river views and a hop and a skip across the bridge to a tube station and west end buses for 1/2 that Wink. Might not be quite as trendy or have quite as much entertaining space. Looks at tiny crack in drawing room ceiling and cobweb in corner and that little bit of tesselated flooring that needs to be repaired. Blush
