AIBU to think WTF, regarding a friends FB status

A friend of mine, who I love the bones of, recently updated her FB. In bed with DD, her boyfriend and myself, having a snuggle, spooning for 3.

This is all kinds of wrong surely? She is a wonderful person, but seems a little over involved with DD who is 18. Not that that makes much difference. Totally weirded out by it to be honest. Its more than TMI isn't though

I take back my YABU, it is weird, had misread and didn't realise the DD's BF was in the bed

TotemPole · 11/02/2012 16:53

Yep, weird, very weird.

I think the use of 'myself' is the most disturbing part of it all.

god the thought of my FIL touching any part of my anatomy makes me feel queasy. bleugh.

lolaflores · 11/02/2012 18:37

bird ha ha ha didn't think of that. Explain that one away sunshine. My DH said it was a very upfront form of contraception. had to agree.

What order were they in? Who was on the front and who was on the back?

Pinot · 11/02/2012 20:08

I think there are boundaries and she's w-a-y past them.

FWIW though, I would have to cut off my feet if my FIL touched them. Or boil them in bleach

It's a NO from me.

Haberdashery · 11/02/2012 21:08

LOL, Chaos!

I do think this is quite odd and probably a bit inappropriate. If I was the daughter I would be seriously hacked off if my mum wanted to join in while I was cuddling my boyfriend. Not to mention quite weirded out.

Pandemoniaa · 11/02/2012 21:17

I'm thinking that, despite being an affectionate family ourselves, the very idea of me inviting my (grown-up) sons and their respective girlfriends to join me for a spoon under the duvet would send them screaming for the hills.

YANBU, OP. It's weird and inappropriate. It's even weirder and more inappropriate to announce it on Facebook. Although very little surprises me about Facebook.
