Does anyone remember when Lucy sneaked a bit of Ayers Rock home and then a curse befell Ramsay Street? Every time something new happened, she'd wail 'Ularoooo!'

Or wondering what lamingtons were and saying "you dag" to your friends?

My big crush was Paul, even though he only had a couple of facial expressions.

I remember so much of this :o. I started watching probably 1986 - I had DC1 in 1987 and used to down about 6 packets of Fruit Pastilles a day while slacking off University on account of being pregnant and all. Neighbours and Fruit Pastilles go together in my head still.

I remember Kylie's first appearance - Jason/Scott caught her climbing over a wall or something while wearing some rather fetching dungarees. Was she a mechanic - is that right? And did Mike and Plain Jane live happily ever after? I'm guessing they moved to Brisbane, because that seems to be what usually happens.

I do remember the Bush Trip trip. And yes, I'm sure Bouncer had a dream/trip of his own once.

Alan Dale popped up in the West Wing and Lost - there's very little US TV which doesn't feature Jim Robinson.

I still think of Mike when I see Guy Pearce - he was at the Golden Globes and my immediate reaction "there's Mike" despite him being nominated for best actor in Mildred Pearce.

As for Scott. For many years I have liked Jason Donovan as a result if of him first appearing in Neighbours!

Aww, the memories!! My first crush was Paul Robinson, & I adored him & Gail together - so much so that I wanted to be a big hotshot business woman like Gail when I grew up. I blame Neighbours for the fact that I now work stupid hour days running my own business & only took two weeks maternity leave Why didn't I have a crush on Joe Mangel instead?

Bouncer's dream was excellent telly, you just don't get that these days. And Paul dressed up as a baby I seem to remember while Diphne stripped - did that happen? And why was it that whenever anyone like Scott or Mike or Henry went to the beach, they had to wear the smallest, tightest budgie smugglers ever?
Don't forget Mrs. Mangel & her gnomes either

I sobbed when Jim died - heart attack in the kitchen. The camera panned to oranges rolling across the floor...... Then Annalise's mum ran off with all his money.

I also remember, and was terrified, when Mrs Mangel thought her house was haunted. It was a cat stuck in her chimney!

misty Malcolm is back in it now :) He lives in London with is wife but is visiting in the hope that his parents will decide that they don't want to separate.

The house of trouser still kind of exists, though Toadie is pretty settled these days what with Sonia and Callum and his job with a big legal firm in Melbourne.

Billy and Anne have had twins. Libby is on extended leave from the school to spend some time with her son who has gone away to gifted and talented school.

Sometimes I think I know more about these people than I do my own friends...

Jim Robinson was in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, it was like seeing an Australian impersonating an American doing a quasi-Swedish accent.

Skye and Boyd should have stayed together.

I remember far too much of what other people have posted despite never being allowed to watch it at home, on account of my parents thinking all teatime tv was drivel. to the lot of you.

Remember when Dr Clive saved Jim from choking and performed a tracheotomy on Lucy on the kitchen table when she got stung by a wasp???
He was secretly in love with Daphne (why, clive, why???...)

The day after the episode where Nell Mangle died one of my school mates spray painted "NELL MANGLE LIVES!!!" on the side of the gym in 6 ft high letters!!!

Wasn't there a nasty Robinson auntie who everyone hated and made snobby comments? I remember Helen's painting smock and Home James, she was a lady of many hobbies.

They all seem so glamorous these days, not a trace of dungarees.

Are Scott and Charlene still off somewhere being married?

The first ones I ever watched seemed to be about Analiese or whatever she was called, she had phenomenal drawn-on eyebrows, and I'm sure her boyfriend became a priest of something. Did she eventually defrock and marry him?

Worst story ever was when Stingray (was it?) died. His grim older brother got the girl instead IIRC. Was that Skye? They were such a sweet couple and had a baybee and everything.

I remember Mark Gottlieb pretended he was French when he first arrived in Ramsey Street. Something to do with wanting to appear to be a genuine French chef? For weeks he spoke in the worst French accent ever heard and started every sentence with the words "errrrrr.... 'ow do you say?"

I liked how whenever a character died the end credits would have the Neighbours theme tune played really slowly on a piano!

do you remember 2 sisters that lived in the madges house, they wern't relations of hers I don't think.

Toadie's first wife who died on their wedding day, what was her name.
She drowned after a car accident but I don't think they ever recovered her body.

I sometimes get called Charlene because I'm DH is called Scott. It started out as a genuine slip of the tongue by friend's DH and now they always call me Charlene. I love it. It's like I'm a true Ramsey.

Remember when there was beef over the name of the street? A Ramsey had cheated a Robinson in a game of cards back in the olden days to get the land and a Robinson teen (can't remember who) found out through a time capsule diary. And vandalised the street sign repeatedly to "Robinson".

Dee and Connor have never had bodies recovered. They are probably awaiting some kind of finding-each-other-in-the-bush-with-amnesia plot a la Harold/Ted.

I liked Boyd and Janae as a couple. I loved that this crazy bogan kept shaming him at uni with random drama. I was really pissed off with him for dumping her. Snob.

Brett lived with the Kennedys for a while and took his pet bird, Gallah with him.

I remember his twin sister Dani, who was diabetic but didn't want anyone to know so she accepted a dare to drink a neat bottle of cordial and was then blue lighted to hospital.
