I think I've been a bit friendly for my own good really.

I have been having a nice, gentle PMing rship with another member, but it's gettong a bit close for comfort. I've not met her, although we live within15 miles of each other.

It's just banneder for me, you know, how are you, how's it all going, have you seen this thread sort of lols. But I think she's getting a bit needy now - offered me her moby number "Just in case". Hmm

AIBU to feel a touch uncomfy?

Why not talk to the poster rather than bringing it on here and making an issue out of it?

WhiteTrash · 17/01/2012 22:18

How long have you been loling for? If its 2 weeks, YANBU. If uts 2 years, YABU. Thats a lot if lols.

squeakytoy · 17/01/2012 22:19

Interesting first post.... Biscuit

Haziedoll · 17/01/2012 22:19

So you obviously don't care if you offend her!

hindsitesagreatthing · 17/01/2012 22:20

No not first post. Name change, can't you tell?

It's not a MN relationship - that's why I am talkin here iyswim?

ThisIsANickname · 17/01/2012 22:20

Are you drunk?

iceandsliceplease · 17/01/2012 22:20
Biscuit

Could you not say something privately and directly, rather than doing it on the busiest part of the site?

Some of my best & truest friends have come about through exchanging PMs (on another site). I've never regretted being 'too friendly for my own good, really'.

hindsitesagreatthing · 17/01/2012 22:20

I'm asking advice. Hmm

GypsyMoth · 17/01/2012 22:20

Hope she see's it and backs off! For her own goodHmm

SiamoNellaMerda · 17/01/2012 22:20

banneder?

Wow - you can almost taste the weirdness tonight. WTAF?

hindsitesagreatthing · 17/01/2012 22:21

No not drunk lol.

crazynanna · 17/01/2012 22:21

First post squeaky? But she said a relationship (friend) with another member...meaning ongoing? oh

Portofino · 17/01/2012 22:21

YADBU to use the word "uncomfy".

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 17/01/2012 22:21

Because she isn't going to read this? Is she? Confused

TrofastTroslow · 17/01/2012 22:21

Well, when she sees this she'll realise its you and I guess she won't want you to have her mobile anymore. Unless you've changed lots of details I bet someone would recognise the situation.

hindsitesagreatthing · 17/01/2012 22:22

She doesn't come on here - she doesn't like the "aura" - I can see why, now.

OP posts:
crazynanna · 17/01/2012 22:22

namechange gotcha Blush I have only been here a year I will get the hang of it one day--

OddBoots · 17/01/2012 22:22

She's offered you her number after chatting for a while! Gosh how forward! You must be horrified. Hmm

AnyFucker · 17/01/2012 22:23

wtaf ?

hindsitesagreatthing · 17/01/2012 22:23

FGS.

She doesn't come on MN.

OP posts:
hellhasnofury · 17/01/2012 22:23

The OP has said that the PMing relationship is on another site and I think 'banter' was the word she was after.

Tell her how you feel or just stop replying.

TrofastTroslow · 17/01/2012 22:25

Oh, I see its not on MN! That makes more sense now!

AnyFucker · 17/01/2012 22:25

you didn't say a member of another site

you simply said "a member"

which, since you came onto mumsnet to bitch talk about it, implies a member of Mumsnet

so

I stick with my wtaf

Haziedoll · 17/01/2012 22:25

It sounded as if you were talking about another MN member which isn't really on.

I think by PMing her and pointing out threads etc you have encouraged a friendship and her offering her phone number is just an extension of that. I wouldn't be weirded out by that but then I wouldn't be PMing and loling either.
