To think that quoting past threads/quiches on MN does not prove you aren't a troll?

You know when someone says 'name changed but not a troll - missing toaster, poo troll etc'. It doesn't really prove anything, does it? Any lurkers could read all that and still be a troll of some sort, no?

Am bored, can you tell? Grin

Damn, and there's me thinking the bra was fooling everyone.

LeBOF · 17/01/2012 15:26

Was the blonde one Ruth?

RockStockAndTwoOpenBottles · 17/01/2012 15:27

Would that be the trolling prosthetic one that you're tapping?

ShirleyForAllSeasons · 17/01/2012 15:28

Yes. I'm tapping it with my hand made out of felt.

GOD I'M SO FUCKING BORED.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 17/01/2012 15:28

Eh?

What?

Eh?

salmonskinroll · 17/01/2012 15:28

No, on MN. Although who knows, maybe it's one of you lot

C'mon you mofo's let's FIGHT!

TheMonster · 17/01/2012 15:34

Real buns or fake buns?

GetOrfMoiiLand · 17/01/2012 15:36

Meg was the kind screw with the terrible haircut who used to be in the Sullivans and Neighbours.

ERICA DAVIDSON was the Diana Mosley-esque governor.

I don't know who the fuck Ruth is.

LeBOF · 17/01/2012 15:38

Meg! That was it. I knew it was one syllable and sort of soft, if that makes sense.

ShirleyForAllSeasons · 17/01/2012 15:39

fake buns

RockStockAndTwoOpenBottles · 17/01/2012 15:40

They had to be fake buns really, as this thread is about fake posters.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 17/01/2012 15:42

The fucking Sullivans. How dull was that. Almost as bad as Sons and Daughters.

I LOVE it when threads go random and at cross purposes.

ShirleyForAllSeasons · 17/01/2012 15:46

Crown Court though - that was class.

RockStockAndTwoOpenBottles · 17/01/2012 15:46

Or Take the High Road, which has to be the dullest EVER

StickAForkInMeImDone · 17/01/2012 15:47

Does anyone remember The Flying Doctors?

MyOhMyOh · 17/01/2012 15:50

I moderate a forum on which the mods can see the IPs of all posters and we can run searches on any IP and see what posts were made by who from that IP. It's also pretty simple to run a search for a proxy IP on google so if something reads as overly dramatic etc we can still get an idea of if someones trolling.

IMO this site has the most awful sort of troll because it's largely a supportive and caring place. The site I mod isnt a parenting site so trolls are normally just mocked and everyone knows that it was a troll and that's why they're gone. There's no enigma around it and it makes it much less interesting. Although LeBof's cryptic post up there has made me feel very nosey and wanting to take a guess at who is being referred to Grin

I think there is one prolific troll here and the only thing that makes me think that is a succession of super thrilling threads, usually with the same word mis-spelled throughout it. Could be wrong obviously, but would like to know just coz I am nosey.

SilentBoob · 17/01/2012 15:55

I did see once on MN someone say "namechanged reg" and then go on to quote some classics as 'proof' and everyone went Hmm yeh right because of their odd choices.

I think they chose a very emotive old thread, then got the MNers name wrong, then chose something new at the top of the MN Classics page... it just didn't add up.

Turned out to be a journo.

TheLightPassenger · 17/01/2012 15:56

a treasure trove of background information on Prisoner www.wwwentworth.co.uk/library/index.htm

aaah blissful memories of mildly crappy 90s era Aussie soaps, with the same actors appearing in all the Grundy Productions (purr of happiness)

TheLightPassenger · 17/01/2012 15:57

Stick - thanks to you I now have the Flying Doctors theme tune running in my head! Yes, wasn't Jim Robinson in it, but was a dashing young doc?
