To think that quoting past threads/quiches on MN does not prove you aren't a troll?

You know when someone says 'name changed but not a troll - missing toaster, poo troll etc'. It doesn't really prove anything, does it? Any lurkers could read all that and still be a troll of some sort, no?

Am bored, can you tell? Grin

Our cinema sells alcohol. I got attacked and strangled by a drunken yoof after I politely asked her to stop talking loudly and kicking my chair all through the film.

it ruined Mamma Mia for me

RockStockAndTwoOpenBottles · 18/01/2012 19:46

ABF you need to get yourself to the Electric in Portobello.... Got everyfink there.

RockStockAndTwoOpenBottles · 18/01/2012 19:48

About two months before Freddie M died, I bought my first flat in London. I didn't know that he was my very near neighbour. Until the day he died when I could barely get in and out of the bloody gate, let alone the street.

spiderslegs · 18/01/2012 19:53

I would have thought Mama Mia itself would have been enough to ruin it for you - booze would have helped you through.

BTW Thank you kind posters for all the comments - I SHALL NOT FORGET YOU.

Had a serious wibble for a moment, you brought me round (didn't want it to go unsaid - you need say no more - am not courting attention).

MmeLindor. · 18/01/2012 19:53

yy, it was 20 years. Did he die in London then? I know he lived the latter years of his life in Montreaux - there is a fab statue of him at the lake. Always makes me a bit teary to see it.

I often listen to their last CD when we are in that area. So poignant.

bytheMoonlight · 18/01/2012 19:54

That is awful openyerlugholes. Was you badly hurt?

RockStockAndTwoOpenBottles · 18/01/2012 19:55

I don't think he died in London - it was his London home though, so guessing the stalkerish crazy fans wanted somewhere to hang around and get in my bloody way

RockStockAndTwoOpenBottles · 18/01/2012 19:56

I do love Queen btw.... The first greatest hits album is the soundtrack to my entire school years from Lower IV to UVI. Constantly played.

spiderslegs · 18/01/2012 19:59

According to the Radio 4 programme hid did die in his London home, he then left it an ex (& probably only) girlfriend.

spiderslegs · 18/01/2012 20:00

to

RockStockAndTwoOpenBottles · 18/01/2012 20:01

Well there you have it. I had no idea either way tbh. I do recall it being left to his ex gf.

openyerlugholes · 18/01/2012 20:02

Mamma mia was tripe. Bur I don't know if that was because of the crap singing and dancing or whether the mad person hanging from my back clouded my view of it.

bythemoonlight no was ok. Just really shaken! The manager intervened and threatened to call the police as she was so abusive but her mum finally came and took her off. All her friends (who were also the worse for wear) got booted out too. Got free cinema tickets for the whole family out of it though Grin

LadyBeagleEyes · 18/01/2012 20:03

Remember him on Live Aid?
How fucking amazing was he?

MmeLindor. · 18/01/2012 20:10

Yes, remember watching a docu on Freddie and readign about his ex inheriting the house. Lovely woman.

Scary, MammaMia experience. Glad you were ok. See, children? Musicals and alcohol don't mix. Don't try this at home.

WinterIsComing · 18/01/2012 20:11

Grin at Mamma Mia spoiling the cinematic experience all on its own.

I am amazed that I, and the other poster on the other thread AND her university common-room collective all have false memories of Julie Robinson being killed by a toaster Confused but there you go.

God Freddie was a fit-looking chap at Live Aid.

LadyBeagleEyes · 18/01/2012 20:12

I loved Mama Mia. We have a mobile cinema up here (screen machine), and lots of wimmin from the villages turned up.
It was a lovely atmosphere.

W0rmy · 18/01/2012 20:18

I first fell in luff with freddy for his live aid performance. It was then that I forgave him for the whole 'fat bottom girls' thing and began to appreciate his art.

openyerlugholes · 18/01/2012 20:19

Decided to use the courtesy tickets on a morning kids film (no chance of violent drunken teens). Took the girls to see Igor. Was even worse than Mammamia. Kids were bored out of their minds.

Am rubbish at choosing films. Though saw Sherlock the other night and was fab. Robert downey jnr

Freddie was fab. Used to blast his records (yes that's how old I am) from my bedroom.

openyerlugholes · 18/01/2012 20:42

Bugger have killed the thread with inane cinema rambling.

Back to the troll and sock puppetry accusations please!

spiderslegs · 18/01/2012 20:50

Right - (DH just back from his travels had to give him a rapturous welcome) - you are all sock-puppet trolls - only I am real.

BarryStar · 18/01/2012 21:17

Spiders - in the interest of research I just had a look at your profile. Now I have house envy and dh envy. Smile. Lovely dc too!

ScrambledSmegs · 18/01/2012 21:48

Winter you're right. Julie Martin (nee Robinson) didn't die then. She did get electrocuted though and I think was knocked unconscious.

It was a very silly scene.

I've never seen Mamma Mia. Is it good?

openyerlugholes · 18/01/2012 22:01

NO scrambled. It is crap.

I wanted to be Jane from neighbours. I even bought huge glasses to be like her, even though my eyesight was perfect.

GlitterKitty · 18/01/2012 22:11

Please, what is 'Very Long Juicy Thread' please?

BrianSurgeon · 18/01/2012 22:32

Mamma Mia is so bad it's funny - gave me good 'ol larf!
