Will they all fall out at around, what, 6 yrs? Then you get big nasty ones, often crooked, then braces, then fillings, then wisdom teeth, then they all fall and you wear dentures. We could all have done very well with hard gums.

Teeth are shit. Had an abscess on mine this week. Few years ago a shit dentist left a cotton wool ball inside my root canal. For five years. Shit.

My dad and gran had all their teeth pulled out when they were 15. Seems a bloody good way to go.

when ds is teething he won't let a spoon near him but will feed himself - and cold melon goes down a treat :-)

ps share your pain - currently teething last front tooth and 2 molars at the same time - and the back bottom gum is looking decidedly lumpy - have given up on sleep too!

Why are teeth so poorly designed? And what the hell did people do in ye olden times? Were they just riven with permanent toothache?

I've been saying this for years, I can't wait for dentures. Now have 11mo ds who is the incredible, very red, non-eating, non-sleeping crying child and we're only on tooth number 7..... there just aren't enough boxes of ashton and parsons in the world.
