Incapacity is no easy task either! The hoops we had to jump through to be awarded it was just as bad as trying to claim DLA (which he was refused for, but yet War Disablement assessed him as 50% disabled!)
We are waiting for them to take the Incapacity benefit away from DH. He is still on Incap, waiting to be transferred to ESA. He gets War Disablement Pension with Mobility supplement (pretty much same as DLA)
I will need to move our family 700 miles to find work because if I dont, we are up the creek without a paddle.
DH wants to work, but physically, and laterly, mentally, cant. He actually puts so much stress on himself by feeling guilty for what he cant do.
With youngest child starting school after the summer, I need a job. I want to work, but living in a small town, in the Scottish Highlands, work is scarce. I will move my family back to a large town, with plenty of job opportunities and hope I can secure something before DH gets shafted with the cuts. We just about manage now, but the next 6 months are going to be hell while we save every last penny to cover the costs involved with moving.
