There's 11 months between my 2 children and I am so fucking dick of people assuming we weren't careful or she must have been unwanted because there's only a small gap.
I actually had an old lady on the bus last week say to me " oh bless you, you're just one of the unlucky ones I guess, did you consider abortion? Having 2 so close together must be a living hell "
Ummm...no.
But having to sit next to such an ignorant bitch is.

Oh well, that's fine then.

Marshmallo I think you might be confusing the OP using the term bitch with SOH tongue in cheek post.

Ministrone · 03/01/2012 10:56

No.

Is this the Professionally Offended thing I keeping hearing about? Grin

Ministrone · 06/01/2012 03:09

I dunno, is that along the lines of "Horrified of Tonbridge Wells?'

I swear on my life this actually happened. Years ago, I was with my DS who must have been around 3 or 4 years old on the bus. A woman kept commenting on my DS saying "isn't she beautiful", I corrected her that he was a boy (he had longish curly hair) and the bitch said

"wow - he is so beautiful like a girl he will surely get raped when older".

I was beyond shocked. I still kick myself to this day by not saying much to her. I mumbled something and that was that.

It really shook me up and it still cuts me to this day. I really should have laid into her. Argh. Who the fuck comes out with that?

I hate buses - so many weirdos.

I believe you op.

This is all strangely weirdly odd given that in The Olden Days they used to knock kids out like it was going out of fashion. Granted my Granny was one of 13, but it wasn't thought unusual that my mum had 2 children within 20 months. The age gap between mine was similar, but I think I was 'allowed' because I was 33 not 18.

Oh and it was not hidden in our family that youngest sister was a mishap. Same applies to ex's younger brother.

When DD1 & DD2 were 3 & 2 (now 6 & 5) a woman on...yes the bus...asked me how old my children were, told me they were beautiful, quiet, polite and a credit to me which I obviously loved until she slipped in "and do they see their fathers much?" Shock
I just smiled and replied "yes thank you, they see HIM everyday and he lives with us" she stuttered an apology and made some excuse about it being because they look so different Grin

DD1 has Hazel eyes, dark brown hair and always looks tanned (so jealous of her Grin)

DD2 has blue eyes, is very fair skinned and is a gorgeous red head (jealous again Grin)
