It's hilarious.

That massive framed picture on top of the funeral car. The OTT speeches. Kim-Jong Un's hairdo.

It's like something off Monty Python.

I'm just waiting for Brooker's take on it. I can't be bothered to formulate a witty response to the proceedings when I know in a couple of days time he's going to articulate exactly what I was thinking without even realising it at the time.

It's darkly awfully sadly ridiculous, yes. The pomp and OTTness of the funeral, yes.
But not the mourning that people are having to express. I had this conversation with DH while they were showing the footage on the news - he was laughing at the OTT mourning and wondering what the hell was wrong with them all - until I explained that they were being watched to see that they mourned appropriately and would be hunted down and probably killed for being unpatriotic if they didn't measure up. Shut him up quicksmart.

I'm a bit concerned about the son. Will he take over? Only I know you cannot always judge a book by its cover, but if you could, I'd say he has an IQ in single figures and he kills guinea pigs by accident because he plays with them a bit too roughly.
