A small packet of tissues in a clear plastic case with a zip. Helpfully labelled "tissues"

FromGirders · 27/12/2011 00:17

And I thought the bedjacket I got from my grandmother was bad!
Just so you can picture it - think lurid pink, with a round collar, embroidered flowers round the yoke and round satin buttons. 100% polyester, and "Keep Away From Fire".
She gave my mum matching one in wedgewood blue.

From an elderly relative my DH got an old duvet and I got one of her second hand nighties! Few years ago, from same relative I got one of her old handbags with a used compact. Grin

Fecklessdizzy · 27/12/2011 01:55

This year I received from my DCs ... One furry dangly blue thing which is supposed to ward off the Evil Eye, one purple patchwork fish bag ( to keep my MP3 from getting scratched, apparently ) and two sparkly nose studs from MIL, which would be just the job if I had my nose pierced, which I don't.
Grin

Weirdly enough I feel dead chuffed about the whole thing!

Tomorrowslookingfine · 27/12/2011 03:53

ViviPrudolf · 27/12/2011 08:47

Well, D0G I apologise. That is officially hysterical Grin

ginmakesitallok · 27/12/2011 08:54

OK not as weird as some of the others but.... DSIL got me a hairdryer, just an ordinary shop brand hairdryer - why??? Surely she must know I've already got one - why would you want or need another one?? I've put it in the back of my cupboard for when my existing hairdryer gives up (but given that they tend to last for years????)

azazello · 27/12/2011 08:55

3 pairs of patterned tights and some rather um interesting hold-ups from DB and SIL. For both me and DH.

DH is bigger than me and certainly won't fit into the same size of tights if he wanted to.

(And if his 'present' is to see me wearing them, he will have a very long wait)
