to ask what you are all getting your DH/W/G/B/P (you get the drift) for christmas?

A gift voucher to a local electronics store. Very impersonal, but DH tends to like techie gadgety type things, and I never know if the technology I buy him will be compatible with that which he already has.

Unless they've asked for something specific, a voucher to a store they really like so they get to choose. I'm a real bookworm and I love book vouchers. DH is a real gadget guy so loves vouchers for electronic stores too. I'll usually do stocking fillers like a DVD I know he wants, selection box (childhood comp with his brother to see who can eat the most chocolate before lunch) etc. Probably not the most romantic, but no faffing in Jan trying to return things.
Oooooh, tell a lie, have a slight difference this year. My incredibly talented artist friend got me when I was very, very drunk to agree to sit for her and I now have a rather nice painting to give DH for Crimble, although he's already seen it and has to hang it now.

Couple of science books and a shirt. He says he may have some geek he can wrap.
I'm a stay at home mum so it's his earnings that buy all the presents. He has a terrible electronics/ computer habit. He takes that as his present budget.
I have a bad boot habit and am also not adverse to gadgets. Mine just tend to be more mainstream. It all seems to even outGrin

Sahm so can't spoil him as I'd like to. This year he has slippers Grin chocolate, some novelty moustaches (Movember didn't bring the magnum he'd hoped for) Hopi candles and the joy of watching our children open all the lovely presents he's worked hard to pay for ( that I've slogged round the shops to bring home)

I bought myself some cheap crap to open of a similar sort.

I'm giving my dh some oven dishes (for lasagne) and some pretty plates for Japanese food that he's taken a fancy to cooking. However he usually gets video games.

My mum: a lumie SAD light, some books she wanted, a photo calendar made up and a Mrs Browns Boys DVD
Dad: Jukebox (that lights up and plays music) money box (from Boots), some smellies, camera, chocs
Siblings - Vouchers (Next & Boots)
Grandmother: Olay set
Grandfather: One of those jukebox money boxes.

Think that's it for adults.

Wow where do you buy a slush machine from?!

ohtheconfusion once upon a time no...it was pretty pink bags from agent provacateur and such but you know one income 2 DC and another on the way. Dont mind, it's all about the cheeeeldren this year.

Has your DH got a kindle if he's into books?

I've got the Haynes baby manual as our first baby together is due next year, a wii game he wanted and a big box of Lego.

Then a few bits and bobs. We don't spend much on each other and he's always playing with my DSes Lego Grin

Were on a budget as were moving house- his stocking: 2 pairs of named socks- 1 daddy, 1 (his name) as dd1 finds shouting his name v funny, pair of red funny boxers, toothbrush head

DH has got stove top espresso maker, some coffee beans, a burr grinder, a watch (which he chose), a polo shirt, slippers, choc, desk calendar with photos of the dc's, socks, hand cream (!) and some beers with co-ordinating glasses (because he's a bit sad like that Xmas Hmm)

Nothing - we are skint so we decided that all the wine, cheese, nice food etc are our presents to each other.

My DH has got a shirt from me, and slippers and pyjamas from toddler DD. I have got a pair of expensive dog walking wellies which were for my birthday as well as they're extravagant for us. One income at the moment - lost my part time job in November. DH pays the credit card so has bought his own presents really, although they'll be a surprise. He did tell me he'd wanted to buy me a 'Lund jumper' but couldn't find one. He's worked 26 days out of the last 27, so I'm not expecting him to shop.
