I am stuck!

OP posts:
perplexedpirate · 21/12/2011 07:44

A guitar. It's sooooo pretty I may keep it for myself.
Other guitar related bits and bobs.

crazykat · 21/12/2011 07:46

He's got a really expensive good guitar (which has taken me 2 years to save up for) as the one he has is a cheap one i bought him years ago that's a bit battered.

He bought me an ipod touch, I've been wanting one since they first came out. Plus he split his £100 bonus with me 'to treat myself with' as I'm a SAHM.

AsinineLadiesDancing · 21/12/2011 07:47

Ball bearing clock, he has wanted one since he was little

And lots of practical stuff like slippers, tie, cuff links...

HairyNigel · 21/12/2011 07:49

I got him some of [[http://www.glow.co.uk/real-flame-blaze.html these] as he loves anything to do with fire Confused
Also got him a few new nice shirts, some cologne that he loves, a fancy new keyboard, some DVDs including a band of brothers/pacific boxset and then just some other bits and pieces for stocking fillers.

NorksAreMessy · 21/12/2011 07:53

NotHing in either direction between me and DH.
We make a huge fuss about birthdays though, and save a bit of dosh at Christmas.
We have been married a veeeeeeeeeery long time, and although we still like to surprise each other, there is so much going on at Christmas, it sort of gets lost in the chaos. DC buy presents for us (that the other one pays for...and mostly chooses....)

llamallama · 21/12/2011 07:53

My DH is getting two le cresuet pie dishes. (John Lewis had them at 25% off) he loves cooking but it's really an "us" present!

Also a mug with the baby's footprints on (DD only 12 weeks)

NorksAreMessy · 21/12/2011 07:54

A chestnut roasting pan and bone china mug going in one direction, a Sabatier knife and a secret I don't know about going the other way

fuzzypeach1750 · 21/12/2011 08:00

my DH is having helicopter lessons for his gift, working towards getting his license. what he's going to do with it i really couldn't tell you.

Witchofthenorth · 21/12/2011 08:01

Chocs, smellies, cuff links and a new camera battery thingy....that was going to be it then I saw a hundred quid surround sound system in asda reduced to forty and bought that too. Other rellies are just getting smellies and sweeties :)

JKSLtd · 21/12/2011 08:01

Wedecided no presents to each other his year - we just couldn't think of more stuff we needed/wanted and decided to but house stuff instead - this year a set of lamps from M & S Smile
Which have arrived early in time to use for Christmas, our living room is very dark and we've been moaning about it for7 years Grin

statueofliberty · 21/12/2011 08:02

BertieBotts · 21/12/2011 08:07

A candle which turns into massage oil when it melts.

I have no idea what I will get for the present he can tell his family about Blush but probably going hunting tomorrow afternoon in the nightmare which will be the last late shopping day before Christmas Confused I might go for some nice bubble bath to complete the romantic evening theme...

tinselliepac · 21/12/2011 08:08

Tickets to see the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and a new phone ( phone cost nothing, on contract and he will pay the billGrin but heis not organised enough to do it himselfWink) and a CD from the DC's.

roguepixie · 21/12/2011 08:10

DH (from me) - Nespresso Pixie
DH (from DS) - mug, chocs and a cushion (that say's 'King' on it)
DSis - Floris Winter Jasmine body lotion and a candle
DParents (mine) - John Lewis hamper
DMum (his) - digital photo frame

shagmundfreud · 21/12/2011 08:14

A bottle of Chateau Neuf du Pape, a Robert Glasper CD, an Itunes voucher, some socks (tradition), and a book (Vernon God Little).

Gottalovecosta · 21/12/2011 08:35

A Nikon Bridge Camera and case
Some whiskey in a funky bottle from Vom Fass
Some comedy socks and pants that DS chose (the pants have 'fireman's pole' written on them, DS thought they were for firemen!!)

Shakirasma · 21/12/2011 08:39

Armarni Diamonds edt

As we have 4 children, ranging from 18ys to 4ys, the best present we can give to each other is time and attention, so as a joint prezzie to ourselves we are going to have a romantic theatre break in the new year.

KinkyDoritoWithFairyLightsOn · 21/12/2011 08:41

Hexbugs; Big Trax; Lego technic; chocolate...

Yep, I buy for my 3 kids: DS(3), DD(13), DH(38)

I wouldn't have it any other way Xmas Grin.

Yankeecandlequeen · 21/12/2011 08:52

nothing. I've know DH for 17 yrs & been toghether for 13 & we have only bought each other one Christmas gift. Don't see the point in buying for the sake of buying.

Saves a lot of bother.

ReebleBauble · 21/12/2011 08:53

I sold all my old clothes to buy DP the Kindle he's been banging on about since July, a leather case for it and the Phineas and Ferb PS3 game (that we'll both play Grin). DD (4 days away from being 1!) has gotten him a Michael Buble CD and I'm popping into the city to pick up something silly and soppy later today.

WhatToDoWithLife · 21/12/2011 08:56

Some books he wants
Some shirts he needs
Some cycling kit I know he wants but can't find a reason to buy them

And a DVD from DD (She bought him the inbetweeners series last year, so has bought him the movie this year)

All very practical useful stuff, I can't do soft and soppy stuff with him, as it's just not his sort of thing

SHoHoHodan · 21/12/2011 09:00

DH is getting a new shirt, some sleep shorts, pyjamas, a book, a 'base layer compression shirt' Xmas Confused for golf, box of Thorntons chocolates and some gloves from me, and a big bar of chocolate wrapped in paper that ds2 made at nursery school from ds2. I think ds1 is getting us a joint present of the Bones first series. I'm getting a Kindle from DH and whatever he can grab on Christmas Eve (he has been working non-stop for the last 6 weeks so no time to shop but feels guilty, silly man).

I find DH very difficult to buy for as he'll buy himself whatever he wants anyway. Specialist golf stuff is expensive and he has to choose it himself and he really doesn't like 'jokey' golfy stuff.

NinkyNonker · 21/12/2011 09:02

Not much as saving to move, so an electric or hydraulic crimping kit (not sure, received link, clicked buy), a belt from dd and a few home brew bits.

Poogles · 21/12/2011 09:04

DH is getting a Dyson DC35! He is obsessed with hoovering - even hoovers the DC down after they have had a biscuit!! He will love it. Also getting him a bottle of JD from the DC - his other guilty pleasure!
