Eldest son;s girlfriend is living here .

She put £35 in to my bank account this month because £5 was apparently deducted (according to my son) because I didn't get her shopping one week

I did get her shopping

I'm livid and want to tell them both just 'fuck of and fend for yourselves'

haha ...I usually rely on the look hence never having to really shout. This girl seems immune to my look

Perhaps she can't see it properly has she has one on those long fringes (defense possible againest 'the looks' from irrate mothers.

The daft things is too, that wrapping the presents last week, I thought 'Oh her pile looks really wee, so ordered another couple of thing for her'

I'm am going to deduct them from her present list and keep them forself

Is the issue that you don't want your son to give up his studies and find a job to support them both living together if you rock the boat of the current comfy arrangement?

CreamolaFoamless · 18/12/2011 13:43

No , I don't think so Takeresponsibility not consciously anyway (will ponder that however)

Glad you have had the talk and given her a timescale, well done you.

When I came home from back packing (having given up my own home and a full time job), I moved back to my DM's.

From day one she told me she would be taking £40 a week. I had no job so I asked how I would pay and they made me sign on, so out of £44 jsa I had to pay her £40, and as I wasn't working I did ALL of the house work and made the evening meal.

I was on the 'dole' for 3 days Xmas Grin.

I didn't mind this - was a bit taken aback at first as I thought they would have supported me untill I got myself a job (which I knew I would get quickly - I've never been out of work). But when they quite rightly pointed out I was an adult (20) and had chosen to put myself in this position I fully understood their point of view. And I didn't mind doing stuff in the house - I had bugger all else to do most of the time, and my family all work hard - I couldn't just sit there and contribute nothing!

Even after I got a job I continued to pay £40 a week and do most of the house work (as I worked nights). Its part of contributing to the family!

I don't think they were unreasonable in asking this of me, I know the value of running a home both financially and in the time and care it takes!

Cheeky cow. She is taking the piss out of your obviously kind nature.

I would ask her to leave but I wouldn't kick my son out
