Gordon Brown that is, at least he was qualified and knew what he was doing... Ok, I do have a bit of a crush, but I am trying to be objective...:)

Cameron, Clegg and Milliband are a joke...

Our manager handed his notice in today.

His name is Gordon.

I honestly thought this thread was about him.

MangoMonster · 14/12/2011 21:29

Poor Gordon got sacked on his people skills mainly, what a load of rubbish.

so, was gordon brown ONLY supposed to concentrate on domestic policy? i thought foreign policy - and what is happening abroad is highly important job to both the chancellor and the PM. and ps - he deregulated the banks, not 'tory twats'

MangoMonster · 14/12/2011 21:31

He deregulated the banks to help the economy make money, they abused it....

cambridgetinsellyferret · 14/12/2011 21:31

Yep, bring him back. And we'll be in the same position as Greece in no time.

Jamiesmagictorch · 14/12/2011 21:31

He also had a bit more of a care about the disadvantaged in comparison to the new man in charge.

So, seriously, people think osbourne has a clue?

OP posts:
ravenAK · 14/12/2011 21:32

YANBU. I liked him. I agree he was far too bloody nice to bankers mind you.

HeidiKat · 14/12/2011 21:34

I thought this thread was going to be about Gordon the Gopher, he would be preferable to most of the cbeebies presenters, specially St Justin and Smug Katie.

Earthdog · 14/12/2011 21:37

YABVU. Hideous man, violent (allegedly!) and p*ssed all our money up the wall IMHO. We would not be in the current state financially were it not for him. He also sold our nation's gold at its lowest value. Total financial ignoramous. If you actually look at the UK's debt you can see what a dreadful mess we are in and why Cameron et all have NO CHOICE.

yellowraincoat · 14/12/2011 21:37

No, herbietea, it is because of the global recession and people running up massive debts that they couldn't pay. Do you really think we'd be in an ok position, spending away merrily while the rest of Europe languishes in the dole queue if it wasn't for Gordon Brown?

Bit simplistic innit.

HereKittyKitty · 14/12/2011 21:44

YANBU!

I thought I was the only one! [bush]

HAHAHAHA @ [bush]

I of course meant Blush

yellowraincoat · 14/12/2011 21:46

What did he overspend on?

notmytname · 14/12/2011 21:47

do we really think the tories will get voted back in ? Gordon was and will never be as offensive as Cameron and pathetic Clegg the whipping boy.

Ifancyashandy · 14/12/2011 21:47

What yellowraincoat said.

ThierryHenryismyBoyfriend · 14/12/2011 21:48

YABVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVU on both counts.

FabbyChic · 14/12/2011 21:48

Gordon Brown oh do behave and wake up.

PinkPeanuts · 14/12/2011 21:49

I've always felt that Gordon got a raw deal. I'd take him over Cameron and Clegg any day. Plus I think much of the problems we're in have a fair bit to do with Blairs' cock ups long before Gordon came into power.

yellowraincoat · 14/12/2011 21:49

They'll get voted back in. They don't even seem that unpopular.

LynetteScavo · 14/12/2011 21:51

Indeed Gordon knew what he was doing. He saw the bigger picture.

But a crush on GB? Really? Odd.

NinkyNonker · 14/12/2011 21:53

Yabu.
