I heard about this earlier on the radio, I can only wonder if it's some sort of joke. I don't know any 13yo's who do believe in Santa, let alone threaten to kill him Xmas Confused

aldiwhore · 14/12/2011 15:10

Hahahaha!! Sorry.

I hate 'wish lists' anyway, in my day it was a 'nice letter' possibly including a 'nice' request.

My laughter is genuine but touched with a little despair.

mumeeee · 14/12/2011 15:12

That girl sounds very spoilt and she probably doesn't really believe in Santa, No way woulfd I give in to her demands, Her Mother needs to talk to her about the letter and tell her that she will/santa will not give into threats,

maypole1 · 14/12/2011 15:14

She would be getting a lump of coal for Christmas

SpottyTeacakes · 14/12/2011 15:17

In The Metro she is quoted as saying she doesn't believe in him, there is another thread in Chat I think? Horrible spoilt child

squeakytoy · 14/12/2011 15:22

I cant believe its real..

Well, actually I can, because there are such spoilt brats, and such pathetic parents.. but to be so dumb as to be proud of the fact and publicise it... nah...

Xbellesx · 14/12/2011 15:28

Horrible child has to be a wind up however what is that behind the childs left boot / ankle in the photograph?

squeakytoy · 14/12/2011 15:29

the mothers walking stick by the looks of it..

VickityBoo · 14/12/2011 15:30

To answer the question, why can't a 13 yo believe still?

squeakytoy · 14/12/2011 15:32

A 13 year old most definately does not believe that Father Christmas is real. Unless of course there are special needs, but that wouldnt be the case in this article.

GypsyMoth · 14/12/2011 15:32

Is she SN? The last bit made me wonder...

knockneedandknackered · 14/12/2011 15:39

is that a threat to her mum or santa.

Kladdkaka · 14/12/2011 15:43

I'm 40 35 and I still believe in Santa.

AnnieLobeseder · 14/12/2011 15:45

WARNING! Very RUDE, don't watch with DC around!!

Xmas Grin
confusedpixie · 14/12/2011 15:46

I can't believe that her mother is agreeing to buy the presents?! And why is this considered news?

I can believe that a 13yo can believe in Father Christmas though, a friend of mine didn't find out he wasn't real until he found his 'Father Christmas Presents' hidden away one year in his teens. His Mum assumed his school friends had told him and didn't think to say anything, he was gutted!

MabelLucyAttwell · 14/12/2011 15:49

What a dreadful child. As for the 'thing' behind her boot, it looks like the bottom of a walking stick or her boot heel is broken.

AnnieLobeseder · 14/12/2011 15:52

Looks like her mum's walking stick. You're all being very forgiving to assume the SN angle. I just reckon she's a brat.

Melpomene · 14/12/2011 15:54

It is very strange that her mother went to the newspapers - the girl doesn't come out well at all from this. Did the mother really think it was funny and charming?

She sounds incredibly spoilt. If I had a dd that age who kept losing phones she certainly wouldn't be getting a Blackberry, just a very cheap one or she'd have to save up from her own money to replace the phone she had lost.

Melpomene · 14/12/2011 15:56

In fact as she asks for "money" and "a blackberry" (uncapitalised) I would give her tuppence and an actual blackberry (the fruit). Thus satisfying her demand for "two of these, or you die".

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 14/12/2011 15:57

what a horrid child Xmas Shock

LikeAnAdventCandleButNotQuite · 14/12/2011 15:58

I'd have NO PROBLEM fulfilling hr request: two of the listed items. I'd give

  • a blackberry - as in the actual fruit
  • money - 50p

That's it.

A stern conversation would follow.

LikeAnAdventCandleButNotQuite · 14/12/2011 15:58

Ah Mel great minds >

Davsmum · 14/12/2011 16:03

Her mother is an idiot.
WHy do some people assume you wouldn't like to get on the wrong side of their spoilt kid because they dare not ?.... I would have no problem at all getting on this brats 'wrong side'
Infact,... I would enjoy it :)

MollyTheMole · 14/12/2011 16:04

god what an awful brat. As for "you dont want to get on the wrong side of her" - oh really? What is she going to do, txt spk you into submission?

Scowling little madam would get a foot up her arse if she was mine.
