To call the police?

Ok so a random one.

There is a young asian guy that lives up the road from us (street at right angles to ours so not really 'neighbours')

I have only seen him once or twice, and this is only because is he is quite precious(?) with his car, and if he cant park it in his "space" outside of his house then he would park outside of ours, so he could see if from his window. It's only an 04 Kia type thing, but anyways.

All of the above isnt really relevant, so...

The car hasn't moved since the beginning of October, possibly longer. Not an inch. Havent seen the guy either. And of course the more I think about it the more I think it's all a bit weird? I know he lives alone, and now have visions of him dead in there being eaten by his cat or something, although to be fair I don't even think he has a cat.

So, do I ring the police, and tell them there is a car in our street belonging to a neighbour that hasn't moved for over 2 months, and risk sounding like a complete loon-- or do I mind my own business?

Blimey, I've just read this entire thread only to discover he's on the bloody bus Angry.

I'm deflated. (pleased he's not dead obviously)

CupOfGoodCheer · 12/12/2011 21:06

hahaha he's on the bus!

Well thats a relief and a bit of a letdown Xmas Grin

RhondaRoo · 12/12/2011 21:10

OP - you need to see him, you only have the word of a potentially psychopathic neighbour.

Xmas Grin

:o I've just read through thread and have been thinking all along Lost his licence so can't drive anymore.. Your neighbour's car may have broken down though, who knows.
A previous neighbour of ours left his car outside our house for 6 months when he had his licence taken away.
Glad he's alive and well though!
:o

What a brilliant thread. Loved littlelight investigating herself and Mabel reporting unattended Pakistanis. I shall sleep all the better for my giggles.

I'd knock on the door, and if he isn't there put a note through saying you haven't seen him for a while, his car hasn't moved and you hope he is OK.

Ask for him to call you.

He has probably left keys with someone if he has gone on a trip and they will pick up the note and contact you if he is on a trip.

If you get no reply then call the police

I'm glad he's still round. I might have been over the top but some unattended luggage has to be, let's say, 'dealt with'.

although I was at Heathrow once when those threats were rife and Heathrow was packed out and it was the start of not being allowed to carry bottles of liquid through the airport. I reported an unattended bag twice and it was still there when I went to my Gate

Yay! If only he knew so many were concerned for his well being! Maybe print this out and leave under the wiper of the car!
