I think I'll check my settings. Although I'm now really that fussed about my real name being on Pinterest. I never partake in any in-law bashing over there that I need to hide behind a pseudonym for!

As for names, I think it really depends if you wnat your friends to follow you, what exactly you are pinning (i.e does it matter if your name is there? Are you going to be pinning pics of yourself and your kids or controversial stuff?)

I used my blog name and my internet name shows up. I don't think your name need sto be ewitty, it's not like a forum, but I also don't think there is any need to have your name and surname there. Just make up a name.

Weird about that pin being so popular. Seems no rhyme nor reason why things draw an internet crowd, I have a Next boyswear t-shirt on my tumblr that has 78 likes, Its nothing particularly spectacular and not linked to the Next site. Most of my other Tumblr posts only get 1 like if they're lucky.

I've just realised that no matter how many people I'm following or who are following me, the numbers shown in the top left under my name do not get updated. It always just says 8 followers, 26 following... Odd.

Right. I'm hooked. OP, when DP says now what are you doing? later (he usually nags me about my mumsnet addiction) I'll be blaming you!

Oh and Minnie - totally agree about the brilliance of having things that make you happy all in one place. I just have to look at my Things To Do/Places to Go board and I feel all positive and proactive! Pinterest could be the new therapy, esp for visually-oriented people...

I adore Pinterest!!! I have been pinning things that cheer me up and I have a lot of crochet stuff. Looking at what crafty people can make amazes me....

I looooove pinterest for diy and craft tutorials. I've actually managed to make quite a few of the things I've pinned so far, and always adding to my boards. Don't know what I did without it!

Actually, I could see some specifically Mumsnet related boards springing up, covering things that MN'ers would relate to. Hmm...

I love pinterest after the homemade Christmas thread linked to it.

Agree that some of the religious themed pins and the thinspiration stuff can be a little much but the hair tutorials and crafty stuff is super.

Looking on the food section though, you can see why America has an obesity problem (speaking as an American myself).

I have real trouble pinning my own photos (off my laptop) to Pinterest. It just doesn't let me do it - it just doesn't upload them. Any ideas? I really want to pin some of my holiday photos and landscapes.
