be hurtful to anyone left out.

And unfortunately, because of the large numbers of MNers, there are inevitably going to be lots of lovely lovely posters who don't get a mention. (btw, I would love to have a Brew with all those who kindly mentioned me, annd loads more too).

I wouldn't have ignored you Ariesgirl!

Ariesgirl · 21/11/2011 17:55

Oh bless you lesley. It's ok I have many friends elsewhere. But thank you!

JamieComeHome · 21/11/2011 17:59

Mardy - about cliqueses - the irony is that some of the people who could be perceived to be in a clique are possibly not that socially confident in RL, so MN is a comfort to them too. I don't think at all that people are meaning to leave out others.

JamieComeHome · 21/11/2011 18:01

"cliqueses" !?

Backtobedlam · 21/11/2011 18:02

I don't find mumsnet cliquey and it doesn't bother me at all if I'm 'noticed' or not. I enjoy coming on and reading threads, sometimes post, sometimes not. If others know each other, or are in groups, fair enough, if your not in a 'clique' or it upsets you just don't read the thread

onefatcat · 21/11/2011 18:03

You would only get noticed and remembered if you posted absolutely shit loads! I would be embarassed.

MardyBra · 21/11/2011 18:04

Cliqueses - great plural Jamie. Yes, I agree the intention is not to leave people out at all.

If I search for mardy, I get references to me along with loads of people complaining about right mardy behaviour. Plus another new mardy poster.

OP posts:
catnet · 21/11/2011 18:05

or you could just namechange and still post shitloads Grin

MardyBra · 21/11/2011 18:05

Blush onefatcat Yes some of us need to get out more.

OP posts:
Sevenfold · 21/11/2011 18:06

people can start any thread they like.

MardyBra · 21/11/2011 18:06

Sevenfold and people can feel whatever they like about threads.

OP posts:
MardyBra · 21/11/2011 18:09

What is interesting, is that whoever started the current love-in thread has done so under a pseudonym.

OP posts:
FellatioNelson · 21/11/2011 18:13

Ahh. Do you think they have bigged up themselves?

Psammead · 21/11/2011 18:16

I just flick through to find my name.

[narcissist]

and I don't find it.

[fail]

I think they are just a bit of fun.

I can see how they might be a bit hurtful, but lots of threads can be a bit hurtful.

bibbitybobbitybloodyaxe · 21/11/2011 18:16

Or if you had been here for years without namechanging.

MardyBra · 21/11/2011 18:17

We could do a comparison of styles and see if we can spot the OP. I note they spell cynical as cynicle. A quick search on cynicle shows that custardo once spelled it that way in 2005 (shit she's been around a while).

OP posts:
Sevenfold · 21/11/2011 18:18

MardyBra that they can.

FellatioNelson · 21/11/2011 18:19

That's it then. It's her.

FellatioNelson · 21/11/2011 18:19

Has she said that Custardo is the best MNer ever?

ledkr · 21/11/2011 18:21

I agree too,i was even named once and just felt mortified Hmm everyone can be nice on here its just some are memorable cos they seem to be on here much more or have memorable names.

JamieComeHome · 21/11/2011 18:22

Ha ha. Loving the sleuthing

DamnBamboo · 21/11/2011 18:24

Love a good bumlicking thread.

The bumlickers don't generally admit or even think they're bumlicking though.

'Tis hilarious that so many people get a warm fuzzy feeling about a stranger on the internets opinion of them.

What I do notice are those who are mentioned, that don't mention back.

Now that's cool!

TeWihara · 21/11/2011 18:27

I admit I don't look at them, because although in theory I don't care - I definately don't go out of my way to be popular or try and get noticed, it can be a bit hurtful to not be 'remembered'.

MardyBra · 21/11/2011 18:31

Psammead, I think you're on there somewhere. Someone loves you!
