And unfortunately, because of the large numbers of MNers, there are inevitably going to be lots of lovely lovely posters who don't get a mention. (btw, I would love to have a Brew with all those who kindly mentioned me, annd loads more too).

I am delighted to hear that 50 is one's prime! I've always suspected it. My mother is 51 and is having the time of her life, really. She's always doing far more exciting things than I am, I know that much. Envy And stays at home shopping for lovely home things and then selling them for an exorbitant price in her Etsy shop. Envy again.

There's a virtual meetup tonight? What?! Where? Am I not invited? :(

And my mother was one of those cautionary-tale "white trash" girls who started having kids in her teens, hence she is very, very young to be a grandmother. :)

SarahStratton · 26/11/2011 16:56

Chat I should think, it's because there's a real meet in London. Those of us who are too chicken can't go are having a virtual meet instead. No invite needed, just roll up and bring alcohol.

Sweet! I'm at my parents' house and they will give me the Hmm face if I'm glued to the laptop, but I will definitely stop by. If I were at home I could get properly pished and hang out for a few hours. Sigh...

I would love to go the real meet up. One of these days! I'd really like to take a trip to te UK anyway, so it could coincide with a meet up. :o
