A thread on mums net to settle an argument about mumsnet...
DH thinks that if a man is on mumsnet then he must have an ulterior motive, to chat up 'mums' - he wants me to add that he thinks they must be devious. I think, perhaps naively that there are probably some genuine male parents, aka dads, wishing to discuss parenting issues. DH believes men should be on dadsnet.
Genuinely looking for opinions.

You get to a certain point where the logistics just dont work - like you have to be in the same bed for a start Blush

(DH in with son to get him used to his new room and bed, leaving me the double bed all to myself Grin)

If someone came on here asking about shavers and got upset because someone said Ladyshave is great or Use Veet, then they are far too wimpy to bother with. If, however, they thought it was funny as they had forgotten to mention they were male then They're in the right place imo.

I couldn't care less what sex posters are.

very happy to have male perspective but very embarrassed to say I started posting assuming it was mainly women and I like that female solidarity thing that goes on so it was a bit Shock when I realised that men were here too! as I say no problems but for some bizarre reason I think I am happier knowing if I am speaking to a man or a woman, I know.... bizarre it should not matter but I am more comfortable knowing

AnyFucker · 16/11/2011 19:22

the female solidarity thing is still very strong, eccles

men being here doesn't dilute it, I think

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 16/11/2011 19:34

yes anyfucker I think you are right, I am just a bit ashamed at being Shock that sometimes I wAS SPEAKING TO MEN AND DID NOT REALISE, IT MADE ME ACT DIFFERENTLY TO iF IT WAS JUST WOMEN, WHICH IS NO BAD THING AND i LOVE THAT THE FEMALE VIBE IS STILL THERE, oh bugga did not mean to shout, pressed the cap lock by error and couldn't be arsed to go back and retype Blush

Hullygully · 16/11/2011 19:37
