It is really easy.

OPTION 1
just write the URL*and tick the little box at the bottom of posting box that says, "Convert links automatically"

OPTION 2

put before the URL* then leave a space, then write the word that you would like to appear then close with

so [°[°mumsnet . com Look at this on Mumsnet]° ] (without the °)

It makes it much easier when I can just click and follow a link without having to C&P.

And no, I have nothing better to worry about and yes, I know this is petty. And yes, I did preview this to make sure my links were working or this would have been embarrassing.

*an URL is the webpage address, such as www.mumsnet.com or www.linkingiseasy.co.uk

Something I've never checked but worry wonder about. I normally leave punctuation off the end if I use option 2 because I don't know if putting a full stop, question mark etc. immediately after the ]] will cause it not to work.

To c&p on the iphone tap and hold the address bar til you get a little box giving the option to select all. Once you've done that select copy. Go back to the MN post, tap and hold where you want the address to appear and select paste. then as normal.

Makes more sense when you're doing it.
