Life is just too short to be washing pillowcases and pillow protectors every other day,but there seems to be no other answer (other than making a cosy little nest for them in the shed,of course)

LeBOF · 05/11/2011 22:29

Um, I don't know- it's nice to me, because I love how he smells even without aftershave etc.

Idasonions · 05/11/2011 22:29

My dh is bald and sweats on his pillow. It is rank.
If i get up for a wee in the night he is always sweating on my pillow when I get back. It makes me feel sick and i spend ages finding the cold side of the pillow to get over it.

LoveBeingAFirework · 05/11/2011 22:31

LeBOF sorry you are a freak Grin

GreenEyesandNiceHam · 05/11/2011 22:33

My DH isn't bald, he has a full thick head of hair.

Will it go, when he goes bald? Will it? It won't get worse though, will it?

WILL IT?

oldsilver - What's the pilllow like?

FFS have I got to ask my DP if she's been secretly resenting the smell of my pillow? Is there no end?

Bellavita · 05/11/2011 22:40

I am with a poster further up the thread. I am very careful when I take the pillows off on a morning when making the bed. I know exactly which one goes where! Grin

GreenMonkies · 05/11/2011 22:42

My ex sweated so much in his sleep that there were mould spots on some of his pillows, and a mattress had to be binned due to the yellow staining and mould on his side. (I've binned his manky pillows too now)

I love my neutral, unstinky bedroom now he's gone.

oldsilver · 05/11/2011 22:42

It's like nothing I've ever smelled before [eeeeeeewwwwwww] except DS (5) is halfway there as he too, dribbles, a lot.

The pillows only get one wash, then I replace them can't stand non puffy pillows so it's not down to old age. They get regularly pouffed and aired too...

Mine obviously smells like roses stroked by the morney dew Wink

PigletJohn · 05/11/2011 22:43

I reckon you women just sit around thinking of new ways to grumble about your men Grin

countessbabycham · 05/11/2011 22:49

Oh how wrong you are Piglet. I for one also watch daytime TV,sit on MN,talk to my Mum on the phone, and all those other things DH accuses me of when the bloody washing up ain't done! Grin

oldsilver · 05/11/2011 22:50

Not at all grumbling - more so looking to find a solution. As I said the rest of him smells gorgeous (and that goes for DS too)

aurynne · 05/11/2011 22:51

There was a MNetter who labelled her own lightbulbs, so this does not surprise me at the least :P

DonkeyTeapot · 05/11/2011 22:52

My dp manages to get the pillow stuffing twisted round, not just inside the pillow case, but inside the actual pillow fabric. Then the twisted pillow ends up sideways in the case, I really don't know what he does with it. Thankfully he's not dribbly, but I still don't want his pillow anywhere near me. I am careful to maintain correct pillow ownership when changing the bed.

He has found a new way to enrage me recently - he turns on his side and stretches his arm out, and shoves it under my pillow, therefore lifting my head at an angle. Er, thanks, I actually liked my head where it was, that's why it was there. Drives me NUTS!!!

countessbabycham · 05/11/2011 22:55

My Dh sleeps with his arms out of the bed over his head and elbows me in the face/jabs me in the eye etc in his sleep.Over the last decade I've only slept on one side so I always have my back to him to protect myself!

PigletJohn · 05/11/2011 23:00

"he turns on his side and stretches his arm out, and shoves it under my pillow"

I do that when DP is snuggling tight against me and there is nowhere else for it to go. If I lie on it it will go to sleep or possibly go gangrenous and fall off.
