to think that a SAHP of school aged children really doesn't need a cleaner.

I know of a few mums at school who have 2/3 dc who are school aged. Neither work but they they still have a cleaner. Obv know its their choice but it does seem crazy to me.

None of your business.

topknob · 04/11/2011 10:43

I could do with a cleaner, all my kids are at ft school....however I am v v v lazy :o

ConstanceNoring · 04/11/2011 10:43

Jel much?

YABU

LaPruneDeMaTante · 04/11/2011 10:43

Presumably they hate cleaning? It could be that simple.

AFuckingKnackeredWoman · 04/11/2011 10:44

Hmm jealous?

RubberDuck · 04/11/2011 10:44

I am a SAHP or school children. I loathe cleaning but I do my own. If I had the money, I would TOTALLY be up for paying a cleaner with no feelings of guilt whatsoever. And a cook. And gardener.

Perhaps what I need is a house-elf Grin

MenopausalHaze · 04/11/2011 10:44

And it's your concern because? Apart from that unattractive simmering jealousy of course.............

RubberDuck · 04/11/2011 10:44

OF not or

GuidoFawkestooearlymustdache · 04/11/2011 10:44

it is indeed crazy

it's what's sent this country to the wall after all

mrskeithlemon · 04/11/2011 10:44

they might just want a cleaner OP. Maybe they have better things to do and can afford it

shesparkles · 04/11/2011 10:44

What Constance said! I'd do it too
The only reason I don't have a cleaner is I work different days/shifts every week so it'd be a pain to organise

LowLevelWhiiingeing · 04/11/2011 10:45

they may not need a cleaner, but they may want a cleaner. Cleaning is much nicer when it is done by someone else I find.

Catsdontcare · 04/11/2011 10:45

yabu I hate cleaning, would love a cleaner

Rollon2012 · 04/11/2011 10:45

I wouldnt have tought so but their choice, a family friend used to have a pro. window cleaner come round to clean the windows in her living room doors Shock

now thats lazy!

LeBOF · 04/11/2011 10:45

I'd bloody love one.

OTheHugeWerewolef · 04/11/2011 10:45

Pure envy. If I could get away with being a SAHP of children who weren't there all the time, AND pay someone else to keep the house clean, I'd be happy as a pig in a sty someone else has cleaned of any trace of shit Grin

MenopausalHaze · 04/11/2011 10:46

I'd love a cleaner - I really would. I think it might actually complete my life. Grin

It would also mean that some actual cleaning went on in this house!

worraliberty · 04/11/2011 10:46

I'm a SAHM with school age children and if I had the money I'd get a cleaner too Grin

It's something I hate doing so why not?

Personally I'm not a 'handbag and shoes' person but I know plenty of people who are.

It's their money so let them spend it on what they like.

chicletteeth · 04/11/2011 10:46

You are jealous.
I don't need a cleaner, but when we move into our new house, I'll be getting one.

I'll be getting a gardner too?

So nerr nerr

I don´t work, my children are at school, & I´d have a cleaner if I could afford it.

HermanMumster · 04/11/2011 10:47

Maybe their cleaners are really grateful for the work?

Maybe the £50 per week or whatever isn't a big deal for the cleanee, but a very, very big deal for the cleaner.

So everyone's happy ... except you.

spookshowangellovesit · 04/11/2011 10:47

i need a cleaner because i am shit at cleaning.

bibbitybobbitybloodyaxe · 04/11/2011 10:49

No one NEEDS a cleaner, unless perhaps they are physically incapable of cleaning. Many people prefer to outsource their cleaning though as it is tremendously boring and quite time-consuming. Hth.

diddl · 04/11/2011 10:50

LOL spooks

I´m not shit at it-I just hate doing it!

Unfortunately, there doesn´t seem to be any correlation between not doing the cleaning & being able to afford a cleanerGrin
